In December 2021 we released a ‘special drop’. Here we have are two very beautiful moths, and here is what makes them so special;

• The first moth is an Eastern Deaths Head Moth (Acherontia styx), and is often mistaken as a Acherontia atropos; which is worldly renowned as the moth covering the mouth of a lady (Clarice) from the movie Silence of the Lambs

• The second moth is what we call an “Atlas Moth” also known as Attacus atlas. This species has the largest wing surface area than any other moth, reaching up to 300mm/30cm/12 inches! Our Atlas Moth reached just over 200mm, still impressive though!
