Meet sweet lil Indee 💓

Indee recently had a big surgery for an old girl, and her humans have been working hard on her recovery. We all know I have a soft spot for a senior dog with health issues (my own dog is an example 😂), so when Indee's mum reached out asking for some help keeping up with her physio plan and some short walks while they were away on holiday I couldn't say no! 🐾

A review of the Tasmanian dog welfare legislation is currently underway. The Tasmanian Government is seeking submissions from the public expressing their opinions and concerns surrounding dog welfare, dog breeding, dog control measures and "puppy farms" or "puppy mills".

🧑‍🎄 Juniper & Luna 🧑‍🎄

If you've noticed some extra, extra good pictures of Juni & Luna the last few weeks, it's because I did a thing... I hired someone!!!

My lovely friend Nellie is now working with me, and she's already fallen in love with these two girls. (How could you not?!) Once we figure out a schedule for 2025, Nellie will be taking on a couple more of my small groups so I can focus more on walk & trains. She's dedicated to R+ training with her own dogs, which I obviously love! 💕

What's the big deal ❓What have they got to do with my dogs reactivity ❓
Pain 💥
If you can hear "click clack" on a hard surface, your dogs nails cannot go into the surface, so that pressure and force can go back up right into their feet.
The toes can splay because they cannot do anything else BUT become misaligned if their nails/claws are too long.
That affects the foot, that affects the joints and that can affect a dogs behaviour.
Pain affects behaviour and yes....pain can cause reactivity.
Is it just a coincidence that when your dog leaves the soft carpet or lawn of your house and goes outside on the footpath their behaviour changes?
For some dogs, taking this simple step can make a huge difference to their reactive outbursts.
Cutting or grinding the nails can make a big difference.
If you can hear "click clack"...it really is time for the "clip clip".

Just another reminder that I don't offer dog-sitting at my home or house-sitting due to my senior man who needs his retirement peace & quiet 💕

Axel has kindly let us know that he's not up to continuing doggie sleepovers. After a few recent illnesses and his old man bones, we've had to make the hard decision to stop offering dogsitting.

All walks will continue as normal, and we are looking into options to offer more spots for walks in the near future.

Now offering Walk & Trains!

Now that I'm currently working towards completing my certificate IV, I decided I was ready to officially start offering walk & trains.

We will work on skills (while utilising reward-based training methods) such as

🐺 loose lead walking
🐺 socialisation & exposure
🐺 recall
🐺 engagement
🐺 reactivity
🐺 and some fun tricks!

Cost is $65 for a 60-minute session.
