“Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.

Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.”

🐴 Navigating NDIS for Best Practice – A Supportive Workshop for Practitioners 🌿

Working with NDIS participants can be both rewarding and complex. Understanding the system, ensuring ethical and sustainable service delivery, and advocating for best outcomes can sometimes feel overwhelming.

This two-day online workshop is open to anyone wanting to navigate the NDIS within the setting of Equine, Animal, and Nature-Assisted Support Practice - including practitioners, service providers, carers, participants, and those simply curious to learn more. Through open discussions and practical insights, we’ll explore:

🌱 Aligning services with NDIS best practices
🌱 Ethical considerations in participant support
🌱 Understanding funding, documentation, and processes
🌱 Creating meaningful and sustainable support pathways

We’re also thrilled to welcome Guest Presenter: Nadine Delaney, who brings a wealth of experience in navigating the NDIS landscape and supporting practitioners in delivering high-quality, person-centered services.

If you work with NDIS participants or want to ensure your services meet best practice standards, this is an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow in a supportive space.

📅 When: 9th & 10th April 2025
📍 Where: Online

Whether your horse is a non-ridden companion, a competitor, or a working partner.... they are deserving of compassion, understanding, and kindness.

Most of all, they are deserving of their needs being met!

🔹 Friends
🔹 Forage
🔹 Freedom

Friends : Horses are social creatures that are designed to live within a herd. Isolation, temporary or long term, is removing one of their basic needs and has both short and long term negative side effects that will likely significantly impact their well-being.

Forage: Horses are designed to forage and graze periodically, and at a trickle rate, throughout an entire 24 hours. They should never be without access to a forage source. Long and short term negative side effects will follow not providing this basic need.

Freedom: Horses should be provided a life that allows freedom to move, freedom to choose, freedom to avoid, freedom from pain and fear.... In training and in their day to day lives. There's a lot to this category and I highly recommend researching more into this.

Lauren Fraser, MSc, CHBC ()has some wonderful articles on this on the IAABC.com website

As equestrians we say we love horses. It's time we show horses we love them for who they are, as they are, and quit trying to make them something they are not.

We can do that by meeting their basic needs without hesitation and in full.

It's really the least we can do, considering how much they have given us and continue to give us. ♥️

Hello!
A message asking for help …
My name is Alice
I have Screamarr.
He is a 9yo TB he has been out of work for about three years. He hyperextended his fetlock racing. I had a soundness check on Friday to see if he will be ok for light / trail riding - which the vet said yes to this.
I may have to euthanise him as I’m to unwell to continue caring for him and can’t find someone willing to take him on.
He has a beautiful nature, very gentle and cuddly. Loves attention.
He is upto date with every but does need his teeth doing about every 6months. I think he is due in September or October?
I’d appreciate any help I can get finding him a home ❤️ thanks
