Today was an emotional one for me. (Brent)
While was in NZ judging a GN qualifier.. for the first time in my showing life I packed all my gear, prepped my horse and drove him to a show to compete by myself. Louie was perfect.

I have to say it wasn’t easy, but I learned something very valuable. I show horses to share the joy of it with those close to me. To cheer them on, to celebrate the victories and help each other through the tricky times.
*I don’t want to show without him there again!

I just wanted to make a special appreciation mention to Anita Prowse who generously amended the class program to allow me or any man to compete in their ‘Eminent Turnout’.

We all love our sport, our horses and doing the best we can to support each other. This gesture of inclusivity was really kind and I genuinely appreciate the change. It has to start somewhere, and I am thrilled to have ridden in my first turnout.
