Last week at EVS we took some time to celebrate and congratulate one of our amazing vets, Dr Casey as she begins her well-deserved maternity leave! 👶🥳

Casey, your passion, care and dedication to the veterinary industry and your patients is a true inspiration and you will be greatly missed by all of us, however we are so excited for you and your family and can't wait to meet the little one after they arrive in just a few short weeks!

With Christmas right around the corner, the EVS Team would like to thank all of our valued clients for another wonderful year and wish everyone a safe and merry upcoming holiday season. 🎅 We are looking forward to an extra special 2024 with a few exciting announcements to share in the early new year! 🥳

Please take note of the changes to our opening hours during this time as our amazing vets and nursing staff take some much deserved time off to rest and recharge with their friends and families. We will be operating with reduced staff between Christmas and New Year so please bare with us, your patience is appreciated. 🙂

There are plenty of future champions hitting the ground at the moment, with foaling season well underway.

Some timely reminders for when your foals are born:
🕐 Foal should be standing within 1hr.
🕑 Foal should be nursing within 2hrs.
🕒 Placenta should be passed by the mare within 3hrs.

When foals are unable to stand and nurse, they often miss out on vital colostrum within the first 24hrs of life. This can result in them becoming hypoglycaemic and more susceptible to infection.
