“Don’t Buy A Dog From Me”

*What reputable breeders want you to know*

If you want to buy a dog and walk away, don’t buy one from me.

If you want to pick a puppy because it came to you when you sat down or gave you a cute look, don’t buy one from me.

If you don’t want to take my recommendations on what food to feed or what is best for the health and well being of the dog, after years of experience, don’t buy a dog from me.

If you just want a puppy NOW, because you need it for a Christmas gift or to be in Senior Pictures, don’t buy one from me.

If you never plan to update me on how the dogs is doing or send a picture once in a while, don’t buy a dog from me.

If you want a dog to live in the backyard, run loose on a farm and never share time in the house with your family, definitely don’t buy a dog from me.

If you want a lawn ornament, you can buy one made of cement or plaster, not much care needed.

However, if you want a puppy that has parents with health testing, that was socialized, loved and made a priority from the day it was born.

A puppy whose temperament and activity level has been carefully chosen to fit your lifestyle.

A puppy selectively and purposefully bred to the standard set forth by our breed club, then maybe you do want to buy a dog from me.

If you want a breeder who will at anytime in the dogs life take them back, no questions asked.

A breeder who is there 24/7 for you and your dog for questions and concerns and will work hard to help you resolve any issues.

Then you might want to buy a dog from me.

If you want a breeder who loves each puppy/dog with all her heart, considers you part of the family and will laugh or cry with you at any time. Well then we might be a match.

Reputable breeders should never be lumped in with puppy mills, backyard breeders or those who broker dogs. A reputable breeder will be able to provide clearances, a five generation pedigree, an explanation as to why they bred the two dogs. While most of the time they will make little or no money. What money they might get is reinvested Into the dogs one way or another.
A reputable breeder knows their dogs, and can realistically tell you what to expect and when. They can guide you toward veterinarians, training facilities and products that will benefit your dog.

A reputable breeder will be your friend, a guiding hand and a strong shoulder. So whatever choice you make, make it with the best interest of the dog in mind and if that’s not your plan….. then don’t buy a dog from me.

ZANE HAS BEEN LET DOWN AGAIN 💔

Poor Zane, this gorgeous boy just can't catch a break! We have been searching for a forever home for this boy for months now and a few weeks ago, we finally had someone willing to take him on a foster to adopt trial.

It all sounded perfect, a big farm with plenty of land to run around on, someone home often, and the promise of unconditional love... our volunteers had the cars packed and fuelled ready to make the 6 hour return trip to get Zane to his potential forever home the next day...we then got a text to say there had been a medical emergency and it couldn't happen for a few days.

We waited and waited to hear back, wishing our potential adopter well and checking in. We waited for 2 weeks and eventually heard back, it was time, Zane could go to his forever home!
The car was packed again, our volunteers taking the day off work to make the big trip... and then a text came through to say - "I'll have to pass"

No context, no answering of our calls, no justification... nothing! Just stuffing us around again at the last hour. We have to wonder did they ever intend on taking him? Do they just have a hero complex?

Not only is this extremely frustrating for our volunteers who put in the hours of work to organise foster to adopt trials and give up their days to transport dogs, but it is also heartbreaking for Zane, who once again has been left homeless with no prospect of adoption in sight.

Rescue is hard enough without people stuffing us around and changing their minds last minute. Please, before you fill in that adoption form for any rescue animal, please consider if you actually intend on taking in that animal!!!

Zane is desperate for a home, he has been waiting for so long and is constantly overlooked for the younger, prettier dogs.
Zane is looking for a home with children over 8 years of age and with no other pets.

Welsh springer spaniels make wonderful family dogs. They like to be where you are and do what you do! They are often drawn to children and babies and display great patience with them. They can also be trained for most any canine endeavour as well as just about any lifestyle. My particular guys have excelled in the show ring, on the farm, in schools as education dogs, and visiting retirement homes. The pups have ended up in every state of Australia, and have made amazing family companions wherever they've ended up!

Located in Canberra, these puppies are super well adjusted and socialised. They are outgoing, super friendly and happy little pups that will make wonderful family pets.

The joys of people being able to leave reviews is that there is no accountability for the lies they can tell.
I received notification this morning that a review was posted - and upon reading I am disgusted by the lies .
I recently cancelled a sale of a puppy after the would be owner that had failed to meet my requirements, sent me a message advising " I am hesitant to purchase because a soft ear doesn't meet the points".
Now this puppy was to be a pet - so a soft ear should not matter and as I advised" it should come up but I can't guarantee it. So as the puppy doesnt meet your requirements I will cancel the sale , because I cant have him arrive and you not be happy with him."
As this puppy was destined to go overseas.

Now these people had failed to pay a deposit due after 4 weeks of age.
They failed to return the Sales Agreement.
By 10 weeks of age they still had not paid any money.
At 11 weeks they advised they weren't happy with the puppy, so I agreed to cancel the sale.

I sent a message to both of them confirming the cancellation of sale , providing a copy of my bank account proof of balance to confirm no money had been received. I then cancelled the account to ensure no payment could be received ,as it was a secondary account only used for occasionally.
(Interesting point I had sent them details of dogzonline puppy secure payments system and they opted not to use it and had requested my bank details).
I then received an email from Jon advising he had made an error when paying the funds via Wise Money transfer and it had bounced back.

I contacted Dogzonline and requested the payment link be canceled and I'd closed my bank account - to ensure no funds could be received.

They also noted that I am not a member of the Samoyed Club of Victoria - this is incorrect . I am not only a member of the club I have recently received membership badge for being a member for more than 10 years.
I have today spoken to the club and they have received no correspondence from these people.
As for money paid - I can only assume that is payment to the breeder they are now discussing purchasing from and it is for either the 7month old or 12 week old. Although I do question the amount of AUD$3383 as I am not aware of any breeder selling for this amount.

Whilst "buyer beware" is a true statement and one should always do your research.
"Breeder beware" is also very important and one should be very careful when assessing new owners.
