If you have a microchipped pet, especially one that has been adopted from a rescue agency or the RSPCA, please take the time to read the information below regarding the potential closure of the HomeSafe ID micro-chip company.
I am pleased to reassure anyone who has had an animal chipped at our clinic, that we utilise the Australasian Animal Registry and your Pets will not be affected by this change.
This situation is still unfolding, but as we are so aware of the importance of microchips, we would like to bring this to your attention now, and encourage you to ensure your pets details are correct and current and lusted with an active registry .
If your pet was registered with Home Safe ID, your information may not be available online and your ownership details listed on their microchip will no longer be found, making it difficult to reunite them with you if they are lost.
Here's what you can do:
🐕Search PetAddress using your pet's microchip number petaddress.com.au
🐈⬛ If your pet's details are with HomeSafeID, apply to register your pet with one of the Microchip Registry services below (please note a fee may be charged)
🐦 If your pet's details are not with HomeSafeID, no further action is required.
