Hi everyone,

Attached are the draws and order of events for this weekends fun show. Please let me know if they are not correct.
Start time Friday for preworks is 12 noon and 9 am start Saturday and Sunday. If you wish to put a late entry into any class you can go on the end of the draw. Cash payments on the day.
Remember to sign your waivers on arrival and bring food and drinks. If you would like to bring a help horse and help out in the cutting please feel free to do so. If anyone would like to try their hand at judging any classes you are more than welcome😁
The Illabo pub does meals between certain hours in the evening but you may need to call and book. We have BBQ’s here that would also be available for you to use. We will also have some fires burning in the shed.

Hi all, Don’t forget to get your entries in for this weekends fun show. The weather looks to be perfect…….Spring is in the air.
Attached are the patterns for the ranch/horsemanship/ mechanical cow class plus the Reined Cowhorse
We have still had no luck finding a coffee food van to attend so bring your food. The urn will be there in the shed for tea/ coffee.
This will be our third last show for the year so still plenty of time to take out the hi point award. I have also included a photo of the AQHA registration papers for the Hi Point gelding which will be presented to our overall hi point winner for the year at our November fun show.

Don’t forget we also have some places available in the up coming advertised horsemanship/ cow clinics so you can get some handy tips from these clinics to enhance your horse journey.
Due to people putting their name down for a clinic then not bothering to let us know they are no longer coming to it we will now only confirm your spot with a 50% non refundable deposit on booking and full payment two weeks prior to the clinic if not fully paid at time of booking. Sorry to have to do this but it is necessary for catering purposes and a chance to fill the clinic from the waiting list if given some notice. Cancellations via a phone call or message would be appreciated and we always try to accomodate with alternative options.

The preworks will start at 12 noon on Friday. Don’t forget to sign a waiver BEFORE you ride your horse.

Hi everyone,

Time to get you entries in for our August 16/17 and 18th FUN show.
Friday will again start with herd and/or One on One preworks.
Saturday starts with the drywork/ mechanical cow and reining cowhorse patter with the Snaffle bit cutting classes to follow.
Sunday first up is another chance to practice with preworks followed by the one on one wet work,the Drive Box Drive class and finishing up with the Snaffle bit cutting classes.

I have attached an entry form and the closing date for entires is Tuesday the 13 th at 9pm.

🐎🐎🐄🐄🐎🐎🐄🐄 Just a quick reminder for anyone wishing to attend our clinics. There are still spots a available in all the clinics. I have attached a picture FYI.
Our first clinic is on August 10/11th and there are some spots left. For those who put their name down for this clinic payment is now due if you have not already paid.
Spring is definitely in the air so let’s get started practicing for the beautiful days to come.

Here it is again….the yearly race of the Hairy little weanlings. Starring a full brother to Beanz, Heinz and Chilli ( previously won as open hi point prizes at our shows); a red roan Sannman c**t out of an imported Smooth As A Cat x Desires Some Freckles mare; Little bay Six Spins c**t out of NCHA mare of the year Smart Little Catolena to name a few.

Hello Everyone!!!! Hope this drizzly weather is not stopping you from riding and getting ready for all the great events coming up in spring.

As requested we have found dates for future clinics and fun shows.
Our clinics include Introduction clinics on starting with cattle, to cowhorse, horsemanship clinics covering how to best work your horse on cattle ready for any cow related horse sports right up to the full on cutting clinics, learning to cut cows and work your horse out of a herd.

We have also set a couple of dates for our fun shows which include preworks, dry patterns, cow horse patterns , Snaffle bit cutting and the Have ADig try working with my hand down cutting.

Our clinics include morning tea, lunch,free camping with showers and yards for your horse.
They cover the basics of horsemanship required for ANY cow working event, how to achieve the most working and training your horse on the mechanical cow, or even just how to start a green or young horse on mechanical cow. How to read , control and get accurate timing on live cattle all in a friendly and safe environment.

These clinics are open to everyone no matter your experience or if you are just wishing to start out in cow events…everyone is welcome and tuition is tailored to you and your horses level. We have a large outdoor arena but also have an indoor ( with lights😁)which takes care of any weather issues. Toilets and showers available with plenty of parking.
Richard also does one on one , or small group lessons every Wednesday all day ( starting second week of August) and private group clinics/ lessons negotiable between parties.

1. August 10 th &11th …. Horsemanship/ Cow Clinic $550

2. August 23rd,24rth & 25 th …..3 Day Cutting Clinic ….( covering herd work, cutting a cow, judging rules, mechanical and working live cattle.) This clinic is for those who have already competed in cutting events in Snaffle bit or one handed events) $880

3. August 16th, 17th and 18 th……….Fun Show…entry forms will be posted on this page.

4. September 13 th,14th & 15 th……..Fun Show..entry forms will be listed on this page

5. September 21st & 22nd…Horsemanship/ Cow Clinic $550

6. October 19th& 20th….Horsemanship/ Cow Clinic $550

7. November 2nd & 3 rd…Horsemanship / Cow Clinic $550

8. November. 15th,16th&17th. Final Fun Show for the year and Hi - Point presentation of the AQHA registered Cutting bred 2 yr old gelding. “Destined to be Blue!!”

Payment will secure your spot. Clinics limited to 12 spots or less.

Starting with preworks on Friday ( herd and one on one), Saturday we will start with the dry work ranch pattern plus our new reined cowhorse event.( pattern only) and finish Saturday with the Snaffle bit cutting classes.
Sunday first up we will have more preworks, the Box drive Box, one on one cutting and finishing with our cutting classes.
I have attached an entry form. There will be no food available unless we can find someone.
Entries will close on Tuesday the 7th of May at 9 pm.

Hi Everyone, Just a gentle reminder to those who are coming to the Phil and Richard Webb Cowhorse clinic in April that payments are now due if you haven’t already paid.
A few spots have become available due to cancellations so if anyone is interested and hasn’t put their name down yet please get in touch. The clinic is for 3 days with both instructors and covers the rules and judging,mechanical cow, live cattle work, rating the cow and all the tips and tricks you will need.
Morning tea and lunches are inclusive for the 3 days plus free camping ( water but no power so bring a generator), showers and toilets. There are BBQ’s to use for dinner or the Longyard pub at Illabo does a great meal. We have a large round pen and an indoor arena to protect you from the elements.
Will be a fun clinic with like minded people!

Hi all,
Just a reminder that the entries for the 3 man 2 gate sorting over Easter at Bottletree Arena close tomorrow evening at 9 pm so if you haven’t entered yet get entering!
There is a judges clinic and youth & beginner clinic on Easter Friday. See the NSW Team Yarding and Sorting page for details.
There is no catering available over the weekend …unless someone knows of a coffee/ food van that is able to attend.

What a great weekend we had for our first Fun show for the year last weekend. Lots of winners and grinners and the addition of our two new cowhorse events looked like they were a hit!
We still have some spots available for the next cowhorse clinic April 19/20/21 with both Richard and Phil Webb.
I have attached a lighthearted video of some of the cutting from the last one…..even the Guinea’s love to get into the action here 😂😂 Good to know if we ever run out of cows!

Hi all,
Entries are in for this weekends fun show so here are the patterns.
Preworks will start on Friday at 12 noon with the herd preworks followed by the one on one preworks.
The rest of the show programme is:
Saturday-Dry work: Open, Beginner, youth and the reined cowhorse ( outdoor arena),
Novice SB cutting ( 3 herds), Open Snaffle Bit (1 herd) and the Have a Dig ( 1 herd).
Sunday- Herd preworks, one on one preworks, Box- Drive -Box, Beginner One on One,Youth One on One, Novice SB (2 herds), Open SB and lastly the Have a Dig.
Start time Saturday and Sunday will be 8 am.
There is a canteen running during the day over the whole weekend and the Longhorn pub at Illabo is open for meals Thurs thru to Sunday for dinner.
Don’t forget to sign your waivers before you ride your horse. The draws will be posted soon.
The reined cowhorse pattern chosen is pattern 11 and then there is mine🫣

Just a reminder that entries for the March fun show this coming weekend close tonight…..so get entering if you haven’t yet done so. Note our slightly changed program of events with the addition of a couple of cowhorse events. There will be a canteen available all weekend so please support them.
