Our Philosophy:
We believe that dogs should be pampered when having some time with us at our salon and that’s why we include a pampering massage with all our treatments as well as giving dogs all the time they personally need with breaks when they want them. Each dog is personally assessed, and we use the appropriate shampoo and conditioner for your dog, all are soap free and plant based, designed

and made in Australia. As owners of rescue pets, we understand the importance of taking time and understanding each dog and we do not have any crates to “store” your dog while waiting. They will have a run of the studio and at times may be placed in our purpose built extra large stalls, that have no roof, so your dog will never feel caged.

Poppie is staying with us a few days.

Lucky me, she loves cuddles and snuggles, loving to sleep in my arms like a cute little baby.

It’s Santa photo time again! Bella and Molly are first our grooms since we got back, and they are staying with us for a little holiday too. Still need to find the rest of our Christmas decorations, I seem to have put them in a special place.

Just something from our hearts to all of you.

We feel so absolutely lucky in our little business and truly believe we have the best customers. Not only do you let us groom your dogs, but i think over the years we have all become friends.

We have been there with you as you got married, lost loved ones including the fury kind, been on holidays and just shared the everyday trials and tribulations of life. And you have been there with us as we went through our journeys, providing advice and support for all manner of things.

We are on a few other grooming pages where groomers ask for help and we cannot comprehend the sorts of customers they have and also that the groomers themselves aren’t very flexible in their own approach.

So thank you for being part of our life and making our job the best.

A bit of a different post today.

Today I’m sharing the parts of grooming you never see - the paws. Pic on the left is the usual growth of hair for this dogs paw pads who comes every 6 weeks. First we shave out all the fur between the pads and that has grown over the paw pads.

As you can see in top right pic, you can see the fur removal and the paw pads are visible again. However there is still some wispy hair around the toenails, This gets trimmed off when we do the top part of the paw.

And bottom right is all nice and neat, good to go for another 6 weeks.

If this is not done, then the hair continues to grow, often matting inside the paw pad (which causes pain) and the dog would not have enough grip with its paws.

Something new in the salon, and it’s for me! Willow was the first customer to use it.

It’s a new electric lift grooming table. It can rise really high and I don’t have to bend, so protects my back. It rises and lowers slowly and is very stable. It also goes extremely low, so big dogs can just walk on and then be brought up to height.

I am still wearing a back brace, as you can see in the pic, but the table helps significantly. Oh and I don’t have a back injury, just the aging process and spine full of osteoarthritis - argh to be young again.

So what does this mean for your doggies, well, not anything actually 🤣. Just makes my life easier.
