Day three done and dusted. I've had so much fun hanging out with the kennel section over the past three days and thank all the exhibitors for putting up with me asking a thousand questions, standing in the way trying to figure out how to get a good photo, and allowing me to pat and cuddle with some of the babies. Congratulations to you all and I look forward to seeing you next year at the Show!

Day two of our four-pawed friends, unfortunately my camera died not long into the morning, so I wasn't able to snap as many as I'd have liked, but fair to say I'm really enjoying all the baby puppies that are coming out for day trips. Final day tomorrow with our Gun Dog Groups - German Shorthaired pointer, Golden Retriever, Labradors, Lagotto Ramagnolo and Welsh Springer Spaniels plus from 2pm the General Specials! Be sure to pop out and see who wins the Best in Show!

After 151 years, the annual Royal Launceston Show will not run in 2024.

The Royal National and Agricultural Pastoral Society has determined that the show will be suspended for the 2024 Tasmanian show season.

Given the show's history, the board of directors had decided to reassess the current business format.

This will include a total restructuring of the existing organisation so that it becomes a more current and relevant event showing the best of Tasmanian agricultural livestock and produce.

Our Society wishes to thank all those people and entities who have supported the Royal Launceston Show during our tenure at both the Inveresk Precinct and at Quercus Park.

We hope that you all continue to be a part of one of northern Tasmania's most popular events upon its return.

Community consultation will go ahead in the coming months to develop strategies to reestablish the show.

I apologise if I have confused some of the categories, I became a little confused when i was editing some of the cattle, yes I do know the difference between a cow and a sheep, so if you can't find your animal in the correct area, if I took photos of it, it will definitely in another section.

Another apology I would like to acknowledge is that I am sorry I was not able to get to some of the finals, made even more of a challenge this year because of also endeavoring to get to all the ASA finals this year which we were privileged to host, in case you didn't know, we are the only city outside the capitals to hold them for the second time.

I hope you find some photos you like. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me on 0418131362 or by email at [email protected]

*great news - Betty Bunny has decided Show life isn’t for her*

Has anyone seen Betty bunny in their travels at the Show? She’s run away to join the carnival circuit, but her 1 year old owner would love her back. If you have found her, please let us know! Thank you! Andy Rachel
