We had a call out to Lowood to relocate what was thought to be a brown snake. Once we located the snake, we were able to ID it as a Keelback Snake (Tropidonophis mairii)

Keelbacks are nonvenomous snakes that are commonly mistaken for more dangerous species like the venomous rough-scaled snake and eastern brown snake. Keelbacks may strike out when threatened. These semi-aquatic snakes are found in damp areas near freshwater, such as dams, creeks, swamps, and gum forests. They can also sometimes be spotted in suburban backyards and parks.

We had a call out to relocate a Juvenile Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) from a sewage pit in Laidley Heights.

Both our customer and the snake were glad he was no longer in the pit.

Juveniles are often more brightly colored than adults, with dark bands that fade as they mature but like adults come in many different shades.

They mostly eat lizards but will switch to other prey as they grow older.

If you see a snake and you need it relocated, don't hesitate to give us a call 0478 432 277

A few cute pictures of the Common Tree Snake (Dendrelaphis punctulatus) that we relocated from a clients bedroom in Karalee

They are often seen basking during daylight hours and are one of the most common snake species to enter homes, especially in search of geckos or skinks.

We had a call out to Bellbird Park last night to relocate a Brown and Yellowish snake from a kitchen, whilst on the phone to the customer it went into the pantry, our customer did all the right things and we didnt even have to advise them what to do.

They immediately closed the door and placed a rolled up towel under the bottom of door to help keep the snake contained until we arrived.

Upon arrival, we were faced with another Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) Highly Venomous and capable of a fatal bite if provoked and left untreated

Thanks to this customer's quick thinking, we were able to quickly catch the Eastern Brown and relocate into a much more suitable location for the snake and the family.

As you can see, there are snakes out and about everywhere. Please do not touch a snake yourself and risk a fatal bite. Leave it to the professionals. Save our number before you need it and share it with your family and friends 0478 432 277

Relocated this Stunning Coastal Carpet Python (Morelia spilota mcdowelli) from Churchill for a client who stumbled upon her when he was about to start hedging his hedges. Luckily, he spotted this beauty before he did and called us for a quick relocation. Otherwise, it would not have not been such a pleasant call out.

This is a perfect example of why it is good to keep your eyes on the lookout for all kinds of reptiles and wildlife whilst tidying up your gardens and yard.

We had a call out to relocate a Python.
When we got to the job, we found ourselves an Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) Highly Venomous.

In this line of work, you never know what you're going to be faced with until you're standing in front of it, and this is a perfect example.

It didn't take long to get him bagged up and once we did we went and transferred him to a clear secure container so we could have a look at his wounds as this poor guy didn't look in great shape even though he was moving normally. After a quick check, we took him down to the RSPCA Wacol, where they promptly xrayed him and discovered he had many older fractures and, unfortunately, would need to be humanely euthanased.

So, a sad end to this story, but at least he isn't out there suffering in pain with those nasty fractures anymore.

Thank you to Rapid Snake Catchers 24/7 for the referral. Much appreciated.

CHECK OUT THE AMAZING COLOURS ON THIS GUY

You may have seen our stories the other night. We were called out to rescue and relocate an Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) that was stuck in the bottom of a sliding door.

After this poor Eastern Brown was rescued we took it to the RSPCA at wacol to be checked over and xray for any fractures or injuries that the eye can't see and after being stuck in bad spot we expected the worst outcome.

We got a call from the RSPCA Wacol to let us know that had been given a clear bill of health and could be released. So today, we picked him up and released him into his new home away from sliding doors....release video to come.

Just wanted to share a little bit from our weekend with you all.
Kurt & I had a great experience on the weekend Snake Catching (Kurt did that catching of course as I'm still recovering from surgery) on the beautiful sunshine coast for Sunshine Coast Snake Catchers 24/7 and we were also looking after some extremely cute Joey's that are in care, along with some baby bearded dragons.

Such a fulfilling weekend πŸ’š

We are back home and looking forward to helping you all with your relocation needs.

Juvenile Eastern Brown Snake (Pseudonaja textilis) Highly Venomous - Relocated from Flinders View

As we have previously mentioned, the Eastern Brown Snake comes in many colour variations.
Juvenile Eastern Brown snakes exhibit considerable colour variation also, as you can see with this one.
Typically, the top of their head is black, with a red or orange stripe just behind it, followed by another dark band.
The rest of their body is often striped in dark grey or black. These stripes gradually fade as the snake matures over the next few years.
Some juvenile snakes lack stripes entirely but instead have darker scale tips, creating a reticulated appearance.
