Peterson Racing offers complete training, racing, education and care services for Thoroughbred racehorses. All horses are trained, stabled and cared for according to each horse’s individual needs. Race schedule and spelling of the horses are planned with keeping in mind the best interest of the horse in question and owner/owners of the horse are being informed and consulted throughout the process.
RON PETERSON
Over the years Ron has been foreman and track work rider for many top trainers, including J.J. Miller, John McNair, John Price and Tony Noonan. Ron has also broken in many horses for high profile owners, such as Bob Peters, John Roberts, Gerry Harvey and Heytsbury Stud and he has worked as Clerk of the Course at Ascot and Belmont racetracks in WA for 3 years. Ron has also gained experience of dealing with other animals which are high demand and require expert knowledge thru being owner, trainer and operator of his K-9 security company where he had 45 highly trained security dogs and 7 staff. He is also proficient at the capture and restraint of Saltwater Crocodiles sizes from 1m to 5m+ having been the manager of a crocodile farm in Darwin, NT. Now in Queensland Ron will provide a horse training service that will have the benefit of many years of animal, not just horses, experience.
