The grass is absolutely amazing! However with Henne’s previous eye surgery as well as his intolerance to grass/grass seeds/life….. He is being boxed at night and let into a yard with very low-height grass. This routine mixed with medication, fly masks and spray is so far doing the trick 👌🏻

Took McCoy and Hennessy to a Liberty Clinic today and it was FABULOUS 🧚🏻
McCoy was a playful little gem like usual 🤣 eating his lead rope, trying to cuddle Henne, wanting to roll in the sand.

Yesterday we held a training day here and had 7 horses in total each practicing different forms of riding, desensitising and groundwork.

We finished today with a vet bill.
Prada copped a kick from Gamble the other day and an abscess formed under the skin which had started to heal over. His leg blew up like a balloon today.
The abscess was popped and is now draining under a poultice wrap.

Sean grew up with cattle and horses. He has a ridiculous amount of skill and knowledge and although we don’t always agree or do things different to each other, he is good at what he does!
He started rodeoing at a young age on bulls and moved to bareback bronc riding not long after. He wasn’t allowed to play football growing up because it was ‘too dangerous’ 🤣 so he had to rodeo instead. These days he competes in both however focuses on the bareback and is currently 2nd in the National Rodeo Association this year 🐎.
Our little boy Hudson wants to be ‘just like dad’ when he grows up and I am 💩 myself 😬🫣

I was the test dummy this afternoon for testing these 2 boys out in a lesson together for future opportunity of group lessons!
I had some much fun riding with one of my little superstars today. We have decided next week that we are going to choreograph a little ‘dance’ together on the horses.
Such a great way to break up the monotony and challenge ourselves to try something new.
