Chicken, bandage change
Chickens are often easy game; this young red hen had suffered a dog attack. Her concerned owners brought her into the clinic for treatment due to the injuries she suffered around her neck. She has been treated with antibiotics and anti inflammatories/pain relief as well as rebandaging every 3 days to ensure healthy healing of her wounds.
As you can see in the video, she is a very well behaved patient for her bandage changes!
***KALLIYAN HAS BEEN REHOMED! ***
"Kalliyan" is a 7 week old female tabby kitten who is now ready for her new home. She is a rough and ready little girl who would take on the world if you let her.
She is ready now for adoption - having received her first vaccination and health check, worming and flea treatment. When she is big enough she will also be de-sexed (all included in her adoption cost of $150).
If you have an opening for her at your place please call us on 0755469540 to discuss.
Snakes are well and truly out and about! We have had four cases of snake envenomation in the last 5 days!
This video was kindly provided to us by one of our clients. The snake in the video is an Eastern Brown snake who bit her staffy, Cooper, and resulted in him spending some time with us in hospital.
Snake bites can be deadly! If you witness your dog or cat being bitten bitten by a snake, or suspect that they have, please bring them to us immediately, as prompt treatment is imperative for a good recovery.
Please note, this video was taken of a professional snake catcher, who our client called to collect the snake. You should most certainly not attempt to catch a snake if you find one in your yard!
