The results are in!

TH Brandy Snap (Robynslea Golden Romance x Excelsior Pavlova) is bay, but does have the Nd1 gene (literally called the ‘not dun gene’) which will make her a lighter bay colour and may give her primitive markings such as a dorsal stripe 😍

What colour am I?

Pavlova’s foal is not even two days old and we can’t agree on her colour! I had always thought she was bay but a few people now have told me that she will shed out to buckskin! Mum is bay and dad is buckskin so could be either.

So before I name her, what colour does everybody think she will be?

I wish she had waited until after the heat wave but it’s already drinking and hitting all the milestones (she’s also pretty cute) so I think I can forgive her!

Still no foal… BUT she is getting closer with a tiny bit more of an udder the last few days.

The race is now on between her and Pavlova to see who will go first despite their due dates being 2 months apart!

I believe the competition is now between Grace Clare who had 26/11 and Lisa Fehrmann who had 7/12 to see who is closest!
