The girls are back home after their farm holiday 😍 and they both got to have their first ride in a straight load seen I've been a bit slack and may or may not have let my float run out of rego. Thanks dad for the lend 🤣 they were very good to me and walked straight on and floated home like they've travelled this style a million times before.

Can you believe how tall Princess (left) is now, she's nearly caught up to Missy (right). And let's not mention the wide load Missy is currently sporting.

When we get a warmer day both girls are in dire need of a spa day, they've had a fabulous time wallowing in the farms dams.

How cool is this, Jacko (Bryrose Gentleman Jack) took out Champion at Mansfield Show over the weekend with his new owner 😍
He is a 2yo gelding by Secretheart Titanium out of Kerranna Kindilan.
Full sibling to Lady (Bryrose Lady Marquise) and Princess (Bryrose Pure Platinum
I do miss having him here coming to greet me at the gate every morning and afternoon. Such a loving dude.

Always amazed at how fast they grow. Her new parents are coming to visit her sometime in December. But she'll stay here until she's weaned and handling completed in March.

Back home from a little overseas adventure. Missy in particular has enjoyed her holiday from me taking full advantage of the dams on the farm.
Always nice to come home to happy healthy animals, thanks to our house sitter and family 😍
The foals (Lady and Pep) have become great friends and grown a heap and I was only gone two weeks!! Kindilan is as fat as ever, and Ellie has let down nicely after her big journey in the truck to get here.
Now we just need it to rain🤞

Don't let the grass fool you, we're still super dry, we've just been saving this paddock for a few months as we are going away for two weeks and wanted to make life easy for our house sitter.

Titanium will have a round bale, and Missy and Princess are having a little holiday on the family farm.

I've been fangirling over this stallion since I was a kid. So many years spent watching every event he went in at Corryong, highlight of my year was getting to give the legend a pat when I dropped Missy off this spring for her hot date.

If my calcs are correct Dudes trophies at minimum include:
-8 X The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival champion
-4 X Battle on the Bidgee champion
-Champion at King Of The Ranges Stockman's Challenge multiple times.
-Rosewood Stockman’s challenge champion multiple times
-Miller’s flat stockman challenge champion
-Cape York & Tablelands Branch Australian Stock Horse Society Open Challenge Champion
-Dude got the highest dry work score at Coonamble Challenge & Campdraft with a 94.
-Reserve champion at Gippsland Super Horse Challenge

He's an open campdrafter, an open barrel race winner and has placed in every single challenge he has entered in his career.

And on top of all that, anyone that's ever seen him will tell you his temperament is second to none.

Great news!

We had Bega Vets out today for dental work and to scan our mummas to be.

Ellie (Impressive Acres) confirmed in foal to Proud Lil Pepto. She already had been scanned to confirm but I wanted to double check everything was still in order after her big journey down south. Pep her current PLP baby was very inquisitive of the goings on and thought the vet was his best mate. Ellie also had her teeth done and was a very good girl.

Missy (Prestige Promise) confirmed in foal to Hilite Dads Acres. Everything looking on track and we'll rescan at 45 days to check in. Missy had a retained shard of tooth after losing one of her molars, which explains why she's been a little more active with the bit then normal. She'll be much comfier now 😍

Big K (Kerranna Kindilan) teeth were all in order, just a tidy up for her as she's always been done yearly. Kindilan didn't scan in foal, as she has a bit of retained fluid. Nothing to worry about as is clean and on track to shift naturally, but I'm taking it as my sign to give her a year off broodmare duties after having three foals in a row. I have exciting plans for her for next breeding season so this means I can put them in action nice and early next breeding season.

Titanium (Secretheart Titanium), just his usual yearly dental and like Kindilan everything was in order and he just needed a tidy up.

Well, Princess (pally) is only a yearling so she's a filly but you get the idea.

When I first started this journey someone told me start with what you can afford and work your way up from there.

It's taken 10 years but this is what I've worked up to.

Guess who arrived today!!

Impressive Acres (aka Ellie), with a c**t foal at foot by Proud Lil Pepto, and confirmed in foal for a full sibling next season.

Very grateful to Lisa Scott for selling her to me.

For those that love Missy (Prestige Promise), Ellie is by the same stallion and out of a mare with very similar breeding. And for those that fell in love with Missys temperament...Ellie's is the same if not better. Wait till I share some videos 😍

Ellie is by Kirkbys Stud Digger and out of Bobadil Acres of Elegance. Her dams full sister, Bobadil Dior, produced a filly that broke the led filly record at the 2024 Nutrien Supreme Sale, selling for $100,000 and is an open campdrafter with numerous wins in open, ladies and juvenile drafts.

Ellie herself is performance proven at royal and national level. And whilst I've bought her primarily for broodmare duties, I suspect I won't be able to resist getting her out and about myself.

Princess (Bryrose Pure Platinum) this afternoon.
She's had a lovely time rolling in the charcoal from the burn pile hence the black on her neck. But she's really starting to come together, just in time for some branch shows in November 😍

In other news, Missy and I were supposed to be at a clinic this weekend, but I've reinjured my back. Thankfully not as bad as the first time but enough to keep me out of the saddle this weekend.

A little update on the grand plan for Missy as there's been a lot of very curious Missy fans following my post about her hot date with Hilite Dads Acres.

I also feel like a lot of people tell you what they're doing but not why. So here's my grand plan for everyone's favourite filly and my thought process behind it.

Hopefully she scans in foal. My grand plan is for her to have a go at the broodmare life for two seasons (yes I already have next years stallion picked and I'm very excited).

Why two years? Id like to focus on getting Princess out and about. I'm yet to break in and campaign a Titanium baby myself so I want to make sure I have the time to do her justice. By the time Missy has had two foals Princess will have completed her 3yo season and have a great foundation.

I'll then bring Missy back into full comp prep and she'll be back hitting up the shows with me. While she's in foal she'll still be in light work as I want to keep her education ticking along, it just won't be at the intensity it would be if I was preparing her for a season of open competition.

I think it's a great opportunity to allow me to focus on another really high quality filly (Princess) whilst she's in those formative young years, and a great opportunity for me to see what strengths Missy passes onto her progeny. And the two years I'll spend slowly ticking away at Missys education in the background will put her in an awesome position to return to open (unrestricted age) competition.
