Hi Ranch Sorters!

Here's the details and entry form for our next Training Session on Friday February 18, 2022.

Just a few changes to make sure we aren't left in the dark.

*Start time bought forward slightly to allow for sorting during daylight- Start time 4:30pm - finish time 7:30pm.

*Sort Pen runs will be as per competition, with a maximum time of 60 seconds allowed.

*Entry fee entitles you to 5 x runs. Extra runs will be subject to time and cattle availability and will cost $5 per run.

Entries are processed in order of receipt. Payment must accompany entry. Entries wishing to use up credit will incur a $5 admin fee, please submit JotForm and you will be advised of any fees payable.

Therapy horse Whiskey was in the ‘yellow zone’ (sympathetic nervous system/fight or flight) today; so our participant taught him his polyvagal breathing technique. Whiskey responded by dropping his head after several breaths, (a sign of parasympathetic nervous system activation); success! Our participants are taught to model some capacity building behaviours to the therapy herd, as a way of interoceptive experience.
