SAFE Karratha

SAFE Karratha SAFE is a non-profit animal rescue organisation with 11 branches in WA. Since 2003 SAFE has successfu

SAFE always welcomes new volunteers - help save a life by becoming a foster carer; assisting with the daily operations at SAFE; donating much needed funds; being involved with strengthening your local SAFE branch – every little bit helps. SAFE’s dedicated work has had a positive impact on people, pets and wildlife. SAFE’s innovative foster care program provides temporary care for animals until a p

ermanent home is found. This means there are no cages or time lines on an animal’s life. Our Vision
An end to the over-population of pets in Australia, zero euthanasia of rehomable pets, and a good quality of life for all companion animals.

The SAFE Way

SAFE is WA's largest volunteer-based animal rescue and rehoming organisation using the foster care model. Since its inception in Karratha in 2003, SAFE has successfully rehomed over 23,000 animals.

The collective network has expanded and is now made up of the following branches: SAFE Albany, SAFE Avon Valley, SAFE Broome, SAFE Bunbury, SAFE Busselton, SAFE Carnarvon, SAFE Esperance, SAFE Goldfields, SAFE Hedland, SAFE Karratha, SAFE Metro and SAFE Newman.

We also work alongside other animal rescue organisations for the direct benefit of animals.
