Meet Kharon, the Domestic Short Hair…

🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 It was alright; it would have been better if my Dad didn't leave me for a month as he travelled to the other side of the world (he was a little rude not to bring me with him). For 2025, I plan to watch more Cat TV, play more with Dad and have even more cuddles.

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 I loved the chain with tassels Aunty Skye made and gifted me for my first birthday. My favourite game with that was to pick up one end and walk backwards very slowly. The game was over if the chain made a noise. But recently, Dad got me a feather wand. Chasing the feathers around makes me feel like I'm really hunting a bird. I barely even notice my chain toy once Dad brings out the feather wand.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I used to get into a small square basket that was left on top of the couch, make it balance on one edge and sleep in it with it balancing on that edge.

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Sometimes, when cuddling with Dad, I'll randomly and quickly bite his arm. I don't really know why.

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 One of Dad's human friends so I could go with him everywhere.

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 Dad. He is my world.

🐾 Where is your favourite place to sleep?
👉🏽 At night, I like to sleep cuddled up with Dad. On hot days, I sleep at the top of my cat tower. On normal days, I sleep on Dad's lap as he watches TV or in my cardboard box.

👉🏽 My favourite toy is my Spiderman. Mum had to buy me a new one. I have had spidey since I came home to Mum and Dad.

👉🏽 My squeaky ball. It’s a blue ball that squeaks, and it was my very first toy and is still my favourite.�

👉🏽 I went under the house, found the skeleton of a dead mouse and ran away when Dad tried to take it away. I also slept on Mum’s head.

🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 I was very small in 2024. It was a bit scary but a big adventure to leave my siblings, but it was totally worth it to find a loving Mum and Dad. My plans for 2025 include mooching all the snacks I can, taking lots of naps, making lots of new friends and becoming the best scent detective pupper I can be.�

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Tripping over my own ears happens all the time! I'm still getting the hang of being able to run and not trip with how big they are , Dad captured this in slow motion video..it is a masterpiece of pure comedy. Or…. there is the fart incident. It was totally terrifying! I didn't even know what that noise was! It was so loud and came out of nowhere. Being the brave pup I am, I had to run and hide behind Mum for safety.. we all had a good laugh at that one after the fact.

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I constantly try to stop Dad from leaving for work by chewing his socks and work boots.. what’s a pup to do? Or .. Chest barging and knocking my 6yr old hooman cousin’s legs out from under her while plays chase (this kind of ties for the funniest as well, to be honest, but I'm told that it’s naughty)

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 If I could be anything, I would be the best scent detective pupper in the world, with a nose so powerful I could track down famous cryptids like Big Foot! I'd spend my days sniffing out mysteries and solving puzzles and being paid in treats....or maybe a pupfluencer spreading my cuteness on the internet, putting mum to work while I nap 22hrs a day

👉🏽 Dad, because he lets me do all the fun risky things like jumping off the bed into his arms (this will give mum a heart attack one day ..or so she says)

🐾 If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
👉🏽 1. never-ending belly scratches 2. Food bowl that never gets empty. 3. And that dad finally caves in and let's mum have a complete pack of basset hounds

👉🏽 Mum because she has ever-loving patience for me and protects me from Dad’s farts

👉🏽 I was tracking a hodag through Rheinlander County, tail wagging, nose to the ground. The scent was strong, and I could almost see it.. big, scary and mysterious. I followed through the woods, paws thumping on the soft ground, ears flapping in the wind.. my heart racing. But when I caught up with it, it wasn't a hodag at all! It was just a rabbit hopping along.

👉🏽 2024- busy learning how not to react to things that worry me. 2025- more camping and beach time.

👉🏽 I fell while climbing a cliff…. into the water. I am not a fan of water. It was only a short fall, but I got wet!!!!

👉🏽 2024 was my birthday, so it was a pretty awesome year. In 2025, I plan to explore the world with my family and have many "first" milestones.

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 Blackie, my plushie dog. It came from my Mum and Dad's house, where I was born, and has been with me ever since.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I like to pick up my water bowl and throw it around the dining room! Everyone comes rushing in to give me attention, and we all slip and slide in the water, and Mum has to dry me off. It's great fun.

👉🏽 Nothing, I can do no wrong! (That is a very silly question, Peter!)

👉🏽 I would like to be a champion muster dog! So I can live on a farm and chase sheep or cattle all day.

👉🏽 It was fantastic!!! I was born and got to go home to my new family. In 2025, I’ll be growing, lots of growing,… I'm going to be a big boy 😀

👉🏽 An empty bottle, because they make lots of noise and are really fun. Once I'm done running around like crazy, I can chew it up. I do have lots of expensive toys, but free bottles are way better!

Meet Riva & Boots, the Briards…

🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 It was a little sad as my mum Puddles died suddenly. Apart from this, the year was not bad. I (Riva) got to try out different dog sports, go away sometimes with my human parents, go for walks, and, of course, eat yummy food. My plans for 2025 are to hopefully trail in obedience and make my human parents proud of me. As for Boots, it was an okay year, and he also joined me at obedience and hoping to do well.

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 Love any toy that is going to get someone to play with me. I especially like rope toys and balls. Boots likes his pig toys and does not always want to share them.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 l do lots of things, but what I really like to do is go between people's legs from behind, and when my human Mum is sweeping is to chase the broom. The funniest thing that Boots did once was stop and roll in the show ring.

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Riva - Chew the Persia carpet. Boots - inch a big piece of steak off the kitchen bench

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 To be a well-known actor and seen on TV.

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 My human mum as she always looks after us

🐾 If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
👉🏽 To go swimming every day, have as much food as I wanted and be with my family always

👉🏽 My human family and to do well in what sport I am doing.

👉🏽 I would give it to my human owners so they can grant my wishes

Meet Hazel, the Cavalier & Dottie, the Cavalier x Dachshund…

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 Hazel - A soft, squeaky dog that is now just a piece of material that I play tug of war with Dottie. I have had it since I was a puppy.
👉🏽 Dottie - Whatever toy Hazel has, I want.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Hazel - While a small puppy, doing zoomies on the beach after my first kayak ride with Mum.�👉🏽 Dottie - Chasing Hazel around the yard as fast as my little legs can go.

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Hazel - chewing plastic, anything, and not spitting it out but eating it.
👉🏽 Dottie - I am an escape artist, and I keep finding small spaces to get out.

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 Hazel - the most humble and loving gorgeous movie star. I love to act and impress, but not the attention that it brings from too many people.
👉🏽 Dottie - the smartest and happiest girl ever like Hazel. I'm not as smart as my sister Hazel, and I look up to her sooooo much.

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 Hazel - Jenny, is the person who fought hard to bring me home.
👉🏽 Dottie - I love Jenny and Paul the most, and then everyone after them.

🐾 If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
👉🏽 Hazel - 1. to play with Dottie all the time. 2 to see Summer, my friend, at another home more often. 3. sleep soundly every night in bed with Jenny.

👉🏽 Hazel - Summer, my first doggy buddy, who I adore. I also love beaches.

Our Story

When I received my first camera from my grandfather at the age of 13, my passion for photography began.

However, it wasn’t until a debilitating spinal condition ended my sales and marketing career, that I pursued photography as a full time career. As I recovered from surgery, I picked up my camera again. It gave me something to do and as I honed my skills, I found a renewed love for it.

Aside from photography, another passion of mine has always been music. So, it was a natural step for me to begin shooting musicians. I have loved capturing the explosive, primal feeling of a live show, as well as the charisma of performers such as Lorde, Bon Iver, The Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Florence and the Machine. I relished the challenge that each live show provided and I was good at it, gaining solid work and respect in the industry.

Animals have also always featured in my life and while on a month-long trip to Africa in the summer of 2015, I realised that my lifelong love of animals could translate to something more. The combination of my passions, photography, music and animals, came together in my personal project “Pet Rock”. I was excited about shooting pets as rock stars, with my aim to create the same sense of drama and energy in my photography of animals, as I am able to get from live music performances. As I explored this project, it became the inspiration for Tame & Wild Studio.
