🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 I didn't love 2024 as I was a neglected pup, and lived outside by myself. I was pretty lonely. 2025 has been great, as I have a new family. I get taken for a walk and to the dog park each day, I have a grumpy little sister, and a lovely family who let me steal sandwiches, feed me properly and give me snacks. I also have my own bed, so life is pretty great.

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 Anything I can chew that Daphne doesn't steal.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I tried to jump in the back of the station wagon when I could smell the takeaway pizza.

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I got into the fridge, took out a container, chewed all around the rim to pop the lid and then ate all the salami in there.

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 A World Champion bacon eater.

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 Daddy - because we boys stick together, and Tess, because I snuggle with her on the couch. I'm getting to know everyone.

👉🏽 Endless bacon, salami and ham sandwiches.

👉🏽 Chefs. I love the smell of good home cooking.

👉🏽 Mummy is very nice and she loves us very much, but does not like noise. She is a very good sleeper and very good at taking us for walks, even when it is raining.
Daddy is kind, but stern. He makes us earn our treats and tries to take us for REALLY big walks even though we have little legs and can't make it. He gets a bit grumpy when we make a mess.

🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 Last year, I spent time living at my aunt's house with my mum- it was wonderful- she had chickens! I loved to sneak in at night and eat leftovers. Also, possums to bark at! So much fun. My Auntie took me for walkies every day while Mum was at work with her dog Uno, and we became good friends. Now we are back home, and my cat is here - I missed her, but she doesn’t like to play chasing very much. I still go to my aunties for doggy care every week so Uno and I can catch up

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 My SQUEEKY!!!!!! It’s fun to chew and take the stuffing out and spread it all over the yard like snow. Plus. I can throw it up and catch it all by myself- I’m very fast and clever. But mum doesn’t like it- she says I make a mess.

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Once I was under the blankets, and when I got off the bed, I took all the blankets with me and had a long regal train trailing after me. Plus, did Mum tell you about my hard-boiled egg fe**sh?

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 Stealing a fresh juicy roast chicken off the counter… drool 🤤

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 I would just be me. Life is good. Warm. Quiet. And lots of good scritches

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 My Mum, of course. She needs looking after- she gets sad sometimes and needs me to cheer her up with my antics.

🐾 If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
👉🏽 1. to live a long, happy life 2. To make 2 legs laugh 3. To chase ducks!

👉🏽 A warm bed to snuggle into and make a nest.

👉🏽 I’d take my Mum and live by the beach. So much space to run as fast and as long as I can. Plus, you know, the beach ducks (Mum calls them seagulls).

🐾 What did you think of 2024, and what are your plans for 2025?
👉🏽 2024 was a profitable year, I successfully trained my mother-in-law to accompany me on many walkies & also secured an ongoing portion of the human dinner menu through hypnosis, mama's dinners are now pretty much my dinners! Plans for 2025 are to expand my empire, win over more hearts & further human menu acquisitions

🐾 What is your favourite toy?
👉🏽 my favourite legal toy is my 'sleepy toy' koala which i bite to fall asleep, favourite illegal toys include socks that mum is trying to hang on the line, moths, cockroaches, basically a toy that makes mum or dad yell NO when I bring them inside play with them, it's basically like a starters whistle for me to take off running & the game can begin

🐾 What is the funniest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I tricked my dad into sharing his beer with me, I deliberately pushed my tennis ball under the coffee table & barked at it for him to fetch it out for me, which involved him leaving his seat & getting the reaching stick. Once he was on his hands & knees reaching for the ball, i then took his seat on the couch & proceeded to loudly lap at his beer in the cup holder. The plan was too funny to be punished over & I knew it!

🐾 What is the naughtiest thing you have ever done?
👉🏽 I protected the family from a haunted couch, it either had a cockroach (which I undoubtedly invited into the lounge room to begin with) or a ghost inside it so rather than take a chance I made sure to explode the couch & pull all of the insides out onto the floor so i could inspect & remove the danger. Sadly, the humans did not appreciate the security detailing service I provide.

🐾 If you could be anything or anyone in the world, who or what would that be?
👉🏽 I would love to be the end of my tail, one of my life goals to spin around as fast as I can to get to know it better, but it is quite elusive, my tail seems to have all the fun

🐾 Who is your favourite family member?
👉🏽 Favourites change daily several times, daddy may have the magic pats & his skin may taste mildly of beer, but mama is a soft touch for food. When Mama has food, she is #1, apart from that, I’m Daddy's girl

🐾 If you could be granted three wishes, what would they be?
👉🏽 I wish for thumbs so I can open the snack jar containing my greenie toothbrush snacks, I wish for squeaky toys to remain intact for longer than 10 mins & I wish mum would get out of the way of the front door so I could run like the wind down the driveway, meet more friends, hypnotise more people & take over the entire street

🐾 If you won the lottery, how would you spend the money?
👉🏽 I would invest the money into a Schmacko factory, where the production line passes through my lounge room

🐾 What did you last dream about?
👉🏽 I often dream about the times I was being bullied by the local bird community and have outsmarted the odd bird, so after much chasing jumping & barking I was able to play 'What Do Your Feathers Taste Like' which is a messy & fun game. You can see me dreaming about this as my little paws are still running & twitching in my sleep whilst I relive it all

🐾 What do you think your human family members dream about?
👉🏽 Well, the only thing worth dreaming of is patting me, I’ve yet to meet anybody cuter or more deserving of all the pats

🐾 What would your autobiography be called?
👉🏽 Roxy McKenna - Are You Gonna Eat That?

🐾 Where is your favourite place to sleep?
👉🏽 As I cannot be trusted with my own doggy bed (several previous beds resulted in stuffing explosions, not sure what happened there) i either sleep on the couch, or drag all human blankets off the couch, drag them across the floor to the kitchen where the sun is, build a blanket nest & take a sun nap

🐾 What's your favourite thing to do when the rest of the family is asleep?
👉🏽 I wait until my humans have just nodded off, and I then bark loudly at any tree that moves or any slight noise outside that I may hear to let everybody know to keep it down as the humans are sleeping. Yet another unappreciated service I provide

🐾 Why do you like cat food? U seem to like it more than your own
👉🏽 It’s not called cat food because it’s meant for the cat, it's actually my food which is labelled cat food due to its content. Is it not made with bits of real cat in it ????

👉🏽 2024 was family time with Mum and Dad. 2025 Left the nest to join my people family for more fun and excitement, and am getting to see more of the outside world.

👉🏽 The pig because it makes fun noises. It is also lightweight, so I can toss it around and chase it.

👉🏽 Run through the fly screen at home.

Our Story

When I received my first camera from my grandfather at the age of 13, my passion for photography began.

However, it wasn’t until a debilitating spinal condition ended my sales and marketing career, that I pursued photography as a full time career. As I recovered from surgery, I picked up my camera again. It gave me something to do and as I honed my skills, I found a renewed love for it.

Aside from photography, another passion of mine has always been music. So, it was a natural step for me to begin shooting musicians. I have loved capturing the explosive, primal feeling of a live show, as well as the charisma of performers such as Lorde, Bon Iver, The Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, and Florence and the Machine. I relished the challenge that each live show provided and I was good at it, gaining solid work and respect in the industry.

Animals have also always featured in my life and while on a month-long trip to Africa in the summer of 2015, I realised that my lifelong love of animals could translate to something more. The combination of my passions, photography, music and animals, came together in my personal project “Pet Rock”. I was excited about shooting pets as rock stars, with my aim to create the same sense of drama and energy in my photography of animals, as I am able to get from live music performances. As I explored this project, it became the inspiration for Tame & Wild Studio.
