Dive-bombed by a lorikeet? Oh, what a delightful surprise! Just when you think you’re in for a peaceful afternoon, our feathered friends decide to spice things up with their acrobatics.

These colourful little daredevils love to play and explore, and they’re always on the lookout for a friendly face (or an unsuspecting person to dive-bomb!). Their playful antics are sure to bring a smile to your day, and we can’t help but laugh at their cheeky personalities. 🦜❤️

How to prepare your pet for their upcoming stay at the Exotic Animal Inn 😃

Whether it’s their first time or they’re seasoned travellers, we want to ensure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved during their time with us. Here are some helpful tips to get them ready for their adventure!

🐰Start with a visit to your vet to ensure your pet is up-to-date on vaccinations and to have a health check done. This not only keeps them healthy but also helps us maintain a safe environment for all our guests.

🦜Don’t forget to pack their favorite toys, bedding, bowls or treats to make their stay feel like home! Familiar scents and belongings can provide comfort and reduce anxiety while they're away from you.

🐁Lastly, take some time to acclimate your pet to the boarding environment. Bring them in for a visit, let them explore the space, and meet our friendly staff. This way, they’ll recognise the faces and places when they come for their stay!

🐾🎉 Our first bit of exciting news is here! We are thrilled to announce that we are opening our very own online pet shop! 🎉🐾

Our online store will offer a wide variety of pet supplies, from treats, to toys and everyday essentials. Most items have been tested by our very own guests and they have given the tick of approval.

At our online shop, you can find products for all types of pets - from birds, ferrets, reptiles, guinea pigs and rabbits. We have something for every pet and every pet owner!

Night frights in birds. Any movement in the night can cause night frights in birds. Things like shadows, flashing lights and headlights. Even a tree or bush moving and moonlight, which can create shadows, can scare the birds. If a bird has a night fright, they can hurt themselves, sometimes quiet badly. Due to this, we have night lights that are left on around the Inn throughout the night to prevent them from happening. Intensive care services include assisted feeding, oral medications, injectable medications, as well as daily weight charts and monitoring. Please note, we will only board your pet if it has been discharged from a veterinary clinic.
