Working on 4 projects at the moment with some customers waiting for more. First trialling a pattern for a ladies bolero- one of my crochet students want to make it and the pattern is not written very clearly so I said I would trial the pattern so I can then teach her how to make it. 2nd project- a knitted cardigan for a 5 year olds birthday who loves purple, mauve and pink.- making up the pattern as I go along. 3rd project my rainbow knitted blanket that I work on when I don't have anything else to make and 4th project is a baby blanket for a friend's sister- baby due in May so need to get a wriggle on with that. Also am excited to start the two cardigans for a customer from the cotton yarn that I received from Bendigo Woolen Mill the other day. Busy!!!! and needing a few more hours in each day.

Squishy mail just arrive/ ready for two cotton cardigan for a customer. Love getting parcels like this.

Another quick project for a friend. She knitted the scarf in stocking stitch and didn’t put some garter stitch stitches on each side so the scarf rolled onto itself. A quick fix was to put a couple of rows around the length and then a quick steam and it is now sitting flat and ready for her to send to her granddaughter.

Daylight saving finished this morning so what to do with the extra hour??? Block my latest knitted square that I joined to make a blanket. A friend knits the blanket with beautiful tension and then I crochet around each block before joining the blocks together before adding a border- this one a simple 3 rows of HDC with no shells as this one is for a male. I think this must be about number 8 that I have joined for her in recent years.

Just finished for my swap partner from another page. Her likes include anything with caravans and beach themed. Made her a caravan everyday bag with caravan fabric as the lining, also made a mini quilt which will make a good table centre for the caravan table and included fabrics that represent- shells, surf, sand, bush and sky and backed it with caravan fabric of course. Also included a cotton crocheted dishcloth with co-ordinating decorated tea towel. Hope she likes her swap items. Of course I can make any of the items for you in your choice of themes and colours-contact me if you would like something special for a special person or just as a treat for your self.

Some other ladies knitted these little dolls and then gave them to me to give them some personality. A great way to spend several hours this afternoon as I gave them eyes, mouth and a scarf each along with a couple of beanies. They are now ready to be included in the Christmas boxes given to a charity.

Finished the jacket for a good friend in her choice of colour and yarn. Combined two patterns to make this one and its about size 18. Made with 8 ply yarn and so super warm and cosy for the upcoming winter. Loved the challenge.

Thanks to those who have contacted me after my previous post- I now have some more customer orders to complete but still happy to take more orders if you are prepared to wait for a short time.

Nearly finished my latest ladies cardigan for a customer so am looking for my next project. Happy to make jumpers, cardigans, beanies, scarves, shawls, blankets etc for any size from babies to adults. Also sewing projects i.e. bags, quilts (no bigger than Kind single) etc. Have a look through my previous posts to see what I have made in the past. I need some projects to keep me busy over the coming months so please consider what you might like to order so I can get the yarn or fabric in so I can start your items soon.
Photos of some of the projects I have completed in the past to give you inspiration.

Another 17 crocheted and knitted beanies ready to deliver to the cancer institute at my local hospital. Thanks to members of my crochet classes and fellow CWA branch members for keeping the supply up. I used some lovely super soft pure wool that a friend donated last year to make some up and they are so comfortable.

A few of the current items I am currently working on. Another join as you go knitted blanket. A crocheted jacket for a customer while also working in my beanie projects. We have had quite a few wet days lately so it has been good to have some craft projects to work on. All good here with no flooding- (for those who were wondering how we were going).

Haven’t posted for awhile. Last week I was up at South West Rocks for big CWA (country women association) event where I was organising the handicraft display and judging for our group (19 branches in our group). Beautiful work done be lots of our members and I was lucky to received 2 firsts with another item chosen in the top 8 items. My winning items are now heading to the state conference in May at Wagga. Here is a snap shot of some of my items. Our branch also received a shield for the second highest point score.

My Story

Lovingly handmade items made by Elizabeth and currently in stock ready for sale. I have always been crafty and interested in current trends while not loosing sight of the older skills. I enjoy knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, gardening and have a large stash of yarn and fabrics that I need to use up. I can make items to order if required but currently will not make quilts over single bed size- it is just too hard to quilt them on my domestic machine. All items made in my pet free and smoke free home in Mid North Coast, New South Wales, Australia
