Kincumber Veterinary Hospital has a team that will be going to fundraise for Red Socks Run in October.

By running, walking or riding 60km, we want to raise awareness of the 60 hours that people affected by kidney disease need to spend on dialysis each month.

Please donate to our page to help us raise funds for research into life-saving treatments, and provide support to the families of the 66 Australians that lose their life each day to kidney disease.

YOU can make a difference - join us or create your own team and help created a future where kidney health is a priority for all Australians.

BEWARE!! PARALYSIS TICKS ARE ABOUT AND CAN BE DEADLY.

As we have posted previously there is a severe shortage of life saving tick anti serum. Please see
an excerpt from our drug wholesaler:

“Unfortunately there is national supply shortage on AVSL Tick Serum. There has been significant demand this season and a delay in supply on our recent orders. We currently have no stock available and considering the amount of tick cases at the present, the next couple of weeks are going to have a number of challenges.”

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR PETS ARE UP TO DATE WITH THEIR PREVENTATIVES

Beware of Deadly Paralysis Ticks!!
With the warmer weather after the wet period there have been an influx of animals presenting with paralysis tick toxicity. Several animals have been hospitalised for treatment TODAY.
Please ensure your pets are UP TO DATE with preventatives AND you are daily tick searching all pets.

There is an expected shortage of the antiserum this season and wholesalers have placed caps on hospitals ordering to prevent stockpiling of life saving antiserum!
