Thank you so much to all our wonderful clients who were so understanding as we celebrated our Staff Christmas Party this past weekend.
We understand how difficult it must be for some patients who are requiring emergency treatment which is why we do give alternative emergency services available.

Unfortunately not everybody was as understanding and we received some horrible voicemails. This behaviour is not tolerated or appreciated. We try our very best to provide these services throughout the year but unfortunately we cannot always be available.

Thank you again for your understanding.
With love from the KVS team. 🫶🎄

💥 URGENT PLEASE READ & SHARE 💥

We are seeing a LARGE amount of paralysis tick cases lately. Once your pet is bitten by a tick, the tick then burrows into your pet and injects a poison as they feed on your pet. This toxin then causes your pet to become paralysed. Paralysing them to the point they can have trouble breathing and swallowing which then can result in death.

We are urging pet owners to get their pets on a suitable preventative immediately. Please keep your pet up to date, missing a dose could put your pet at risk.

Signs your pet is suffering from a paralysis tick-
Weakness
Trouble getting up or walking
Changes in breathing
Difficulty swallowing
Vomiting
Change in bark or meow
If you suspect your pet has a paralysis tick- call 41625511.

Today’s special guest. His mum got hit by a car and unfortunately didn’t survive. But this little guy will be looked after by a carer then released back into the wild.

Thank you to our generous wildlife carers for all the hard work you do! 🫶💛

Todays special guest 💕

KVS provides first aid to injured wildlife and any costs are absorbed by the clinic. Other places like the RSPCA and independent wildlife carers run off donations alone. We are so lucky to have these dedicated people looking after our treasured wildlife.⭐️

This morning we had two cute, little furry koala's brought into the clinic, after being hit by a car. Luckily the female had no broken bones and this little fella was a bit weak but with some rest he'll be back to good in no time. Thank you to South Burnett Koala Watch for coming to get them 🐨
