Let’s talk A**l Glands. 🤣
This is Charlie - he is an older boy. His dad came in and Charlie had an awful itch around his back end - to the point he had lost quite a bit of hair. I put him in the bath and decided to check his A**L GLANDS - I could smell them (it’s a fishy smell), I decided to express them and quite a bit of that lovely smelly stuff came out. He was fairly impacted. You could see the relief from Charlie as I was doing it. We always do it in the bath so we can wash it straight off and then shampoo. Hopefully we have fixed the problem - it will be very interesting to see. Charlie’s dad had booked him in for a vet check also.
If you think your dog might have issues with a**l glands - scooting their bottom on the ground, fishy smell or you just want us to check them. Don’t forget to ask. Crazy as I am - I love the relief the dogs show us once they are done. 🤪

Billy came in for a groom and we found a tick on his bottom eyelid. Pulled the tick - Called his mum immediately - luckily mum said he is on Nextguard. This is a warning for anyone that does not have their dog on tick prevention. We have seen so many - even on my personal dog.
