WARNING!!
An important message to all our clients.

We have had numerous phone calls recently regarding false advertisements online stating purchase and pick up of puppies from our clinic. Apparently we have been listed online as a pick up/meeting point for German short haired pointer pups.

This is a scam!

Cheltenham Vet Clinic is NOT or has ever, been involved or affiliated with any breeders/breeding, sales or pick up point in regard to the sale of puppies or kittens.

Internet scams are on the rise- fake ads on websites, newspapers and social media platforms asking for payments upfront for non existent animals. Listing vet clinics as pick points is also on the rise as it makes potential buyers feel that it is a legitimate ad.

We encourage anyone who is looking to purchase a pet that they do so via thorough research of reputable breeders and their credentials. Always meet breeder and animal in person before any exchange of money and having a legal contract in place is beneficial to breeder, buyer and the animals welfare. If a contract is refused then you should be cautious. Be fully aware or transportation laws and documentation. And if a vet clinic is listed as a pick up location - call to confirm this is true.

Other red flags can be immediate payment requested upfront, the offer to meet half way at a designated pick up point, high discounts, asking for wire transfers, refusal to meet or communicate in person etc.

Please thoroughly research to avoid being scammed as this can be a devastating loss financially and emotionally. Good breeders will always put the welfare, safety and re homing of the animal before anything.

Kind regards

The team at Cheltenham Vet.
