MYSTERY PATIENT REVEAL!
Yesterday's mystery patient x-ray was of a Southern Brown Bandicoot.
Sadly, this little male was humanely euthanised at Healseville Sanctuary's Australian Wildlife Health Centre.
Assessment revealed age-related degenerative joint disease ranging from moderate to severe and affecting his mobility, severe dental disease including a fractured canine, loss of all bar 3 molars and evidence of an abscess, mange and a chronic, severe tail fracture.
Thankfully a kind member of the public brought him to us and he was able to experience a peaceful end.
RIP little buddy 💚

If your dog has ever contracted canine cough then this video may sound very familiar.
Canine cough also known kennel cough is primarily caused by two organisms, Bordetella bronchiseptica and canine parainfluenza virus. Canine cough is a highly contagious disease that tends to infects dogs in areas where they socialise, such as boarding kennels, parks, obedience classes, and dog shows.
Symptoms of canine cough are a harsh hacking cough that often finishes with gagging. The coughing is usually made worse by exercise, excitement or pressure on the throat region. Severely affected dogs may also have fever, lethargy and reduced appetite. Coughing may persist for many weeks and can infect other dogs that reside in close proximity.
The best way to prevent canine cough is to keep your dogs up to date with their C5 annual vaccinations.

This little beastie showed up on a recent skin scrape can you guess what it is, and what condition it might cause?
Did we loan you a cat crate?
Could you return it so we can loan it to the next cat owner in need!
Thanks 😸
