The gorgeous Kenlock 'October' came to me for starting under saddle in- ironically - October last year! He came through my training and routine, a confident, well behaved young man. His owner took him home and continued his education in dressage and trail. It has been lovely to be updated with October's continued progress over the last year. thank you to Lisa Terry for sharing these photos 🥰

Please help support the Mountain Brumby Sanctuary Inc. by purchasing a calendar for the new year! It is packed with beautiful images and captured moments of our Brumbies. (A couple of photos I took myself on my last visit to the sanctuary)
It is a great way to help out all the hard-working volunteers that run the sanctuary. And you get to look at these beautiful brumbies every day of the year 🤗

These two boys are chalk and cheese personality-wise! But they both did their best for me and did me proud 🥰

Well said ..I have lost count the number of times I have been cut off by drivers who see a float and just have to get in front. Yes, we do go a bit slower- for damn good reason! It will cost you mere minutes to wait for a safe place to pass... Pulling out in front of us or tailgating aggressively could cost a hell of a lot more. Please be patient. Please don't risk our horse's lives. 🦄

Dear motorists - and non-horse people,
please do not drive in front of a horse-trailer into the supposedly large gap to the foreman.
We have a long distance from the front man, not because we drive slowly Wir, but we need a long brake path. Unfortunately, we don't have it anymore, if you stop in front of us.
Our horses in the trailer need us to be careful and slow in curves and slow down so they have a chance to balance. Not only can they otherwise be seriously injured, it can even flip the entire trailer and cause serious accidents.
On the photo you can see how little space and opportunity the mare has to keep her balance. The foal is even right under her. She knows a misstep could seriously hurt her foal, so she tries to keep it from moving as possible. You can only do that if I can drive carefully. Please help me do this and consider!
May be shared, because I know that most drivers do it not out of carelessness, but out of ignorance

Nearly two weeks ago, my dear boy Coal ( my Number 1 lead pony) had to undergo surgery for an annular ligament tear ( hind fetlock) . There was no moment I could pinpoint a specific injury. But his soundness deteriorated over a number of weeks and since then, there have been many vet visits and investigations to find out the problem. A big thank you to Sophie Elphick and the team at Station Street Veterinary Clinic for their personal attention and tireless efforts. Sophie referred Coal to where he underwent surgery and an overnight stay. Robin and all the team at SEEH were absolutely wonderful...With both surgical expertise and genuine care and compassion for the horses in their care. It's been long and hard road to get my boy sorted and sound. I'm really pleased with the outcome and he came through his surgery really well. Now it's just the case of keeping him quiet and contained for four weeks! 🥴🤕

A belated welcome to this lovely lady, azahli (. 7 yo appy x Arab)
She's here for some fine tuning and to further her education. She's a very curious, sweet mare with a lot of energy/ busy brain. She has had a lot to take in here at farm but is settling in nicely.
