Our Story
Tabayne Welsh Stud are proud breeders of quality true to type dilute Welsh Cobs of Pony type with the added bonus of dilute colour. We are only a small stud, producing maybe one or two quality ponies a year.
Tabayne Stud is situated in Bass Victoria , just of the HWY on the way to Phillip island, 45 min drive from Cranbourne.
We started breeding Welsh Mountain Ponies in 2004 and have slowly moved from mountain ponies to Welsh Cobs , with the idea of retaining all the mountain pony qualities we love in a larger version of the welsh cob.
Our current stallion standing at stud is Tabayne Trojan War. He is a rich gold Palomino Welsh C, with some white bling to finish him off, he is by our deceased Welsh A stallion Tabayne White Knight, holding beautiful old section A blood lines of Waxwing Herod & Minai Silver Sand. His dam Barringa Madison a Welsh C mare passes on her blood lines of Archeron Hot Chocolate and some old imported lines such as Gwibedog Sportsman. if you are intrested in using Tabayne Trojan War please contact us to find out more.
