Did you know that Frogs have been around for 200 million years and incredibly, scientists found a fossil of a 40 million year old Frog, in of all places the Antarctica..!!!!

BARRAMUNDI meaning LARGE SCALED FISH
Was once known as ‘Asian Seabass’ and giant ‘Sea Perch’
Nile Perch is a distant relative
Barras can grow to 150cm long and weigh 40kg and live for 20 years
They change from male to female between 4 to 8 years . but only in salt water ..
They eat insects, crustaceans, crocodiles and even Barrumundi
They can consume up to 60% of their own length
Females can produce up to 32 million eggs in a season
Their preferred water temperature is above 20 degrees Celsius
Keepers are between 500mm and 800mm in length
Because of their tenacity when hooked and flamboyant leaps out of the water … they are a thrill to catch ..!!
. and you can catch one here anytime ..
these are cut from steel and finished with a patina of chemical and acid .. and most important .. a legal size too .!!

The Kimberley Moon ..
One aboriginal legend tells the boab was once the
most graceful and beautiful tree in the entire universe
But .. she delighted in boasting about her beauty to the
other not-so-graceful plants
The tree god became angry and punished the boab for singing her
own praises and cast a spell which allowed the boab her
beauty and grace for just six months with a show of lush foliage and exquisitely scented flowers then for the next six months the
tree gods spell turned the boab upside down exposing her roots
