I do love this photo of two of my sponsored riders. 💕🦄
Seasoned Eventer and 3 star competitor Stacey Briggs with one of my younger newer team members Jnr Show Jumper Mia Shortt
They were training together last weekend at the Jamie Coman SJ Clinic at Shepparton
What I love about these two ladies is their passion for their horses 🐴 and their willingness and appreciation that dressage is an important part of having an educated and save Jumping machine ⭐️

Both have a fabulous balance over a fence and I just love to watch them ride 🥰

Mia’s latest horse is a giant but a beautiful gentle soul with a huge jump and of course Stacey needs no introduction as she is a well known Victorian event rider with her Stock horses and new OTTT 🍑🐴. Jeffrey

Both these ladies are in the state squads for their respective disciplines and ages and I am so proud to be a part of their journeys 🙏
Excited times ahead as we climb out of winter into a new season ❤️

Congratulations to LPD sponsored rider Beth Rowley from Braemar College riding Remi First Class to win the Advanced championships at the final round of the 2022 series for the VEIS Interschools dressage grand finals for this year, held over two days at Werribee Park on the weekend.
She was also crowned the 2022 Overall Advanced Series winner too for the Victorian Equestrian Interschools

The series is separate from the State Equestrian Victoria Interschools Championships in which Beth won both the Medium and Advanced championships that have given her No. 1 position in the Vic State team for both levels to contest the National championships later this year at SIEC in NSW 💙💙💙

This is so exciting to be part of Jess and her fancy OTT Barneys development and journey
She is a coaches dream - she is always working hard and asks all the right questions to continue her learning skills and knowledge
We ”workshoped” Saturdays results and Test sheets. I don’t hold back with the honesty and advice 😜 and Jess takes it all in, process it and the results speak for themselves ❤️

“Sweet that’s what I needed to hear !! I took everything you said and used it today, I now know I was riding him to low yesterday which at the time I thought I needed to do for his training at the moment but now realise that once he becomes to low I need to then lift him up! ”

So proud of you Jess 💙

Horse: Rhoxette ,Age : 10:height: 16.1 : s*x: most definitely an opinionated mare: Breed: WB x TB

🗣In The riders own words💋

🏆Best achievement:
I am so extremely proud of Rhox and I, and our support group for helping us, work through her problems and not giving up on her or sending her away. We are slowly developing a happy and safe dressage horse
❣️Favourite thing to do
I love having my morning coffee with Rhox, and spending time with her, whether I’m just cleaning her paddock, doing our ground work or riding, she is so much fun to be around, and is such a challenging but extremely rewarding mare!
🥅Goals:
Short term
◦ Compete by the end of the year
Long term
◦ Train my own horse to compete at each level with the highest quality of riding and preparation of each movement
◦ When Vanessa Way comes back to Australia, take Rhox to our clinics

😃 Yout happiest horse moment
There is no moment in particular, every time I am around my horses, I am at my happiest, because I am so proud and grateful of the unique bond I have with each of my horses, and the trust and respect we have for each other.

😂Your horses most quirky moment
Rhox is a full time quirky horse.

◦ Plays chasey in the paddock with me
◦ Licks me
◦ Chews my hair
◦ Bites and cracks plastic syringes every-time I give her, her Betavet supplements
◦ Always checks pockets for carrots
◦ Cons Deb with her cute eyes for more lucern hay every time Deb walks past

🎬Favourite horse movie:
Ahaha can I say training videos 😂 I love watching Vansssa’s training series, as well as Kyra Kirkland. And any little clip of training.

🦄Famous Dressage Role model :
Vanessa Way - I love her clear pathway for training, her 1 million and 1 exercises, her kiwi accent, her attention to detail, and always striving for that perfect Charlotte ride

💚Fav colour equestrian combination outfit:
I’m a Victorian….. navy blue and silver/grey/white

💜Favourite equestrian gear :
Deniro boots 😍

🐴Short history about your horse

Rhox has had an inconsistent start due to no fault of her own, and me living 2 hours from her., for most of her life
But she is now 5 minutes from home so I am able to spend much more time on a daily basis with her . We recently, through more consistent work, have found some major gaps in her breaking in process, so we have gone right back to basics (including ground work, teaching control stops ect) and now we are on our way to developing a lovely safe and happy dressage horse

🌟Other sponsors :
I currently don’t have any other sponsors, but I have a massive support team behind Rhox and I, as well as Rozzie and my riding career, that I treasure and value their knowledge and support that align with the values of Lauriston Park and Christine Sievers!

🗣In The riders own words💋

🏆Best Competition achievement:
Competing our 2019 novice freestyle in the Sydney indoor at nationals ❤️ we didn’t place but it was so fun 😍 also being able to compete in the pony advanced at Dressage festival.

❣️Favourite thing to do
Gallop down the side of the avenue of hounor in Wooden ( my home town) and around the block with kismet, she loves it too, but outside of horses I love playing footy and basketball.

🥅Goals:
-To compete PSG or even a small tour in the next year with kismet 🤞🏼
-65% in advanced consistency
-get Elsie, my mums pony out showjumping

😂Your horses most quirky moment
Kismet has heaps, she has the biggest personality and she’s so funny but her funniest quirk is at feed time she gets so over excited about her feed and talks, squeals and wags her tail whilst your putting it in her feed bin.

🎬Favourite horse movie:
Phar lap ❤️

🦄Famous Dressage Role model :
Lottie Fry - she rides so effortlessly and looks amazing on every horse she’s sitting on especially being a younger rider she’s so nice to watch.

💚Fav colour equestrian combination outfit: a classic black or navy always looks nice.

💜Favourite equestrian gear :
All of my PSOS and ES saddle pads 😉

🐴Short history about your horse
When I was 6/7 I had Kismets half sister Mithril Curlylocks and I then I got kismet 5 years ago when I was still 10, since then shes taken me my to do my first official preliminary, novice, elementary, medium, advanced and FEI-pony. Before I got her she had a couple starts at Medium and also did some lower level horse trials. She used to be a really nice lower level show jumper/ct mount for me but I just haven’t been jumping her much anymore 🥰

🗣In The riders own words💋

🏆I would say my best competition achievement would be at the 2022 Australia Youth Dressage Championships at Boneo Park where I completed in the Senior Interschools Preliminary 1A I came 2nd with 66.9% and in the 1B I came 1st with 72.6% and I ended up Champion overall and this was the happiest I have ever been and I was incredibly proud of Davina

❣️My favourite thing to do would probably be to do horse trials as I love to jump and I also love dressage and it is always fun to jump and teach Davina different things as she is still learning both jumping and dressage and it is incredibly fun to go on the journey with her

🥅My goals would probably be to compete in National & state horse trials & dressage and go as good as we possibly can‼️

🦄One of her quirkiest moments would probably be when we first got her and my friend was riding her horse towards me at Pony Club, she was probably 20m away and Davina thought that was too close and started to do donuts 🍩 until mum came and held her.

🎬My favourite movie
A Sunday Horse or the Lone Ranger

🦄Famous Dressage Role Model:
My role model is my mum I have always looked up to my mum and always will for all her help and her support and teaching me so much

💙My favourite combination of colours to wear on my horse has always been blue and hot pink

💚My favourite piece of horse riding gear would probably be my Casco Mistrall-2 Horse riding helmet it is my favourite helmet to ride in and also my black horse riding jodhpurs are my favourite jodhpurs to ride in.

🐴A short history of Divina I got Divina in February 2021 I got her as a horse that can buck but once in work is great. She was broken in twice, had only ever been of property twice and probably not worked as much as she needed to because she does need a fair bit of work so she doesn’t get her back up but as long as you ride her consistent work she is great🥰

Horse: Remi First Class (Artie)
10yo, Hanoverian Gelding

🗣In The riders own words💋

🏆Best Competition achievement:
The recent competition memory I am most proud of would be Artie and I’s effort at the Australian Young Rider Championships for 69% and 67% (Overall 3rd place) in the Medium class.

❣️Favourite thing to do:
Really love listening to music, potential freestyle music included!

🎬Goals:
Continue to train toward FEI, ideally with a competition start in the not too distant future.

😃Happiest horse moments:
Some of my happiest horse moments would have to be the simple things when not riding and at home. Training ‘breakthroughs’ are also a real highlight.

😂Horse’s quirks:
Artie is a big fan of his 11am nap. If you want to disturb him, be prepared for the consequences😅.

🎬Favourite horse movie:
‘International Velvet- 1978’ is definitely a favourite.

🦄Famous Dressage Role Model:
Charlotte Dujardin is a huge inspiration. I was fortunate enough to to see her ride at Hartpury UK in 2019- a very surreal moment.

💙Fav colour equestrian outfit combination:
Can’t beat navy blue when it comes to an equestrian outfit on Artie.

💚Favourite Equestrian gear:
I’m very lucky to have really great gear for both Artie and myself but I must say I’m a little bit in love with my DeNiro boots.

🐴Short history of horse:
Artie was bred and raised at Remi Stud before he was eventually bought by his now previous owner as a 3yo. He was trained and competed by her until we purchased him in early 2021.

Horse : Clare Downs Alley Cat
Age: 11yo/ Height: 15.1h /S*x: Mare/ Breed: Connemara x TB

🗣In The riders own words💋

🏆Best Competition Achievements: In 2021 Alley Cat and myself competed at the Victorian Youth Dressage Championships in Participation we ended up winning reserve champion in preliminary and placed 3rd overall in Novice, we competed at the Australian Youth Dressage Championships 2022 in official and placed 4th overall in preliminary.

❣️Favourite Things To Do: Alongside spending time with my horses, I also enjoy socialising with friends and family

🥅Goals: Like many other riders I have goals and ambitions, short termi would love to excel with Alley Cat in dressage (be competitive in novice) as well getting a more educated horse to assist in taking me up the levels through dressage. Long term I would love to make my family proud through the equine industry and make a name for myself.

😀Your Happiest Horse Moment: Competing at the 2018 Bendigo Agricultural Show on Alley Cat and being awarded the Allison Bogumil memorial award, it was such an honour being awarded a memorial award of a past Bendigo Pony Club member who had as much love for her horses as me. As well as this winning my first grade 2 dressage jackpot at Riddles Creek PC dressage jackpot 2022.

🐴Your Horses Most Quirky Moment: I absolutely love Alley Cat she has so many quirks like trying to eat everything put in front of her like potato cakes, lollies, chips and the whole bridle when trying to put it on.

🎬Favourite Horse Movie: War Horse

🦄Famous Dressage Role Model: As a role models I look up too many people around me like my mum, her willingness and love for horses has given me the opportunity to be surrounded by such amazing creatures, Christine Sievers her determination and mindset to push boundaries and never give up. I also look up to Charlotte Dujardin her purpose from such a young age, her transformation with Gio although she was looked over for the decision and her kindness of becoming a global ambassador for Brooke Hospital for Animals is truly an inspiration.

💚Fav Colour Equestrian Combination Outfit: I love a good matchy matchy set, my favourite would have to be blush pink or powder blue

💙Fav Equestrian Gear: I love to pair both my matchy matchy sets with custom b-boots and flexible fit bridles, whilst I love wearing my Blackhorse jodhpurs, rockel gloves and my Jin Stirrups helmet to match my stirrup irons!!!

🐴Short History About My Horses:
I have owned Clare Downs Alley Cat close to 5 years ,we have had many ups and downs along the ride from many times falling off in the jumping arena, to pointing up in HRCAV from level 3 to level 2 dressage in around 6 months. She is truly one of a kind, the trust and willingness she has for me is like nothing else I have ever encountered. Since getting lessons from Chris I have achieved so many goals already, like that big flowy trot as well as our relationship has improved so much as we have got our wow factor back !!

🥅Goals:
A big goal of mine for the future Is to ride, train and compete horses professionally. And to train a horse/s to Grand Prix.

😂Your horses most quirky moment
Anyone who knows me knows that I have quite a quirky group of horses, so to many quirks to list!

🎬Favourite horse movie:

🦄Famous Dressage Role model :
I have to say the Queen of Dressage Charlotte Duhardin, all of her horses are always so correct and look beautiful in the ring.

💚Fav colour equestrian combination outfit:

😃 Yout happiest horse moment: Saving my horse Beau’s eye from being removed after 8months of 2hourly vet treatment, 24/7. With Raff first clear SJ at three star at Woady.

😂Your horses most quirky moment: Raff regularly shies at his own shadow, black rubber mats and is terrified of his own tail which follows him around all the time 🤦🏼‍♀️

🦄Famous Dressage Role model : Lyndal Oatley

💚Fav colour equestrian combination outfit: Navy and Yellow

💜Favourite equestrian gear : Hampton & Harlow (the BEST bomber jackets and base layers)

🐴Short history about your horse Raff was bought as a nephew of my older three star horse Beau. He’s a freaky jumper but finds dressage very challenging! 🎬Favourite horse movie: Japaloupe - it's a story from impossible to greatness! (but The Black Stallion was definitely a childhood obsession!)

🦄Famous Dressage Role model : Charlotte of course. I love her effectiveness, stillness and graciousness. I also love Pedro Torres and Heath Ryan for their simplicity and absolute joyfulness and expression when they ride.

💚Fav colour equestrian combination outfit: I have to say Navy because it is classic and easy to match!

💜Favourite equestrian gear : My Aviar saddle, I am forever grateful I am able to have something so beautiful.

🐴Short history about your horse: China was bred by Di Boardman of Skye Park Rugs and sent to train with Louise Maquire (a long time friend of Christine's). I purchased China in 2020 and have worked through some forward issues with Christine. We are at a really exciting point now where it feels like everything is beginning for us and we are ready to learn as much as we can. China has an honest, easy going nature which I enjoy very much. She placed at a TTT CT event in 2021 doing an awesome first jump course, succesfully started her HRCAV show career and we are about to point up to Level 3 Dressage, which I am very much looking forward to.

Lauriston Park Dressage celebrates 🎉 our 3️⃣0️⃣ th anniversary this year
Massive thank you 🙏 to every single person who has been part of this journey with me since 1992 (the list is very long 💚)
Wow 🤩 I am old 😂
So many families I have taught 2 and 3 generations of riders and I am absolutely still loving it 😍

The results most definitely speak for themselves, with so many successful riders over 30th years and a number of riders who have gone on to fulfil their own coaching and riding dreams - such a privilege I could inspire them to do this ❤️

I think there may be another decade of coaching left in me ( ten is just a number-right ? 😅)
…maybe not quite the intensity I am currently doing, but something none the less ❤️

So Stay tuned for some fun developments to happen this year 😜
New logo and some new stuff

PS : I was going to throw a massive 30th birthday bash but on reflection organising something so huge with the threat of looming lockdowns could be tricky so I decided to spend the $ on the business and have a new arena surface arriving soon 🔜 🙏
