Great work Sam and Hugo 👏👏👏
Tracking on hard surface is no easy feat, and to do so requires great amounts of hard work and patience.
Nothing worth while comes easy, but if you can get your dog out to track on hard surface you can track anywhere.
Seeing this dog team work throughout the 6 weeks was an absolute pleasure and looking forward to seeing their progress in the future.
By week 5 of Blueprint To Hard Surface Tracking all reinforcements have been faded from the track and we are left with articles as our checkpoints.
With the Blueprint to Hard Surface Tracking online course coming to an end, it is now time to reflect and evaluate the data points we have gained from guiding our participants through the 6 week course.
A massive thank you to all who participated and made the course a great success.
We have definitely made the beginnings of a little hard surface tracking community.
Now time to edit and package up all the videos from the course.
Here is a little sample from week 2’s protocol.
Successive approximation is the process of reinforcing steps of desirable behaviors which are getting closer to the target behavior.
This is one of the main benefits of hydration intensified tracking is that there are several ways to incrementally increase requirements to a successful track.
Today we increased distance between reinforcements and added a curve to the track.
The early bird truly does gets the worm 🪱 😅
Exciting times ahead in the online space for the Summerland Dog Training tracking program.
