A bit about her: She is a bit of a blank canvas to do anything with, not broken in but she is handled. She has been very well loved since birth and never known fear. Only owned by 2 people. Very steady on her feet, good with other horses and at feed time. She is extremely captivating when she runs around the paddock, very graceful movements but quick turns. I think she'd make a great sporting pony or endurance with training. She isn't pushy or flighty at all but she is still young and learning. So not for beginner trainers due to her breed. She doesn't have any injuries either and is an easy keeper. 🙂

😔 Unfortunately I (among many others) are struggling with this dry spell and The Hobbit Farm at this time is not in a position to be able to keep Scar on long term. Feed and water is just too costly at the moment.

Temperament: Extremely quiet, chill lad and affectionate.
Good to/with: Catch, Lead, Tie up, Wash, Groom, Float (he'll do anything for a carrot), with other horses, Rug, not pushy at all at feed time. He just loves to fall asleep while being pat and told he's a good boy.
Up to date: Worming and hooves. Will need teeth, vacs, vet etc done.
A bit about him: This fella was pulled from a horrible situation and given a second chance at life. I have started his healing process and he is showing signs of improvement. He's a very lovely guy but unfortunately his riding days are over and his back may need looking into for possible kissing spine.

🦄🩷🦄Update about Benson and Frodo

These 2 are just the bestest of friends 🩵🦄🩵 2 Peas in a pod and both of them are growing into such handsome little lads.

Benson's coat is coming out splendidly. He has gone from a little angry, protective chestnut c**t into a very loving, trusting and huge personality, red dun c**t. He's a whopping 13hh 🤯 and is growing like a w**d. I would love him to stay small forever. Time flies too fast 😌

Frodo (previoisly called Little Man) is so chill and patient. He is my little plod around pony 🏇 and is coming along so well. I don't know what it is about Brumbies but they are very special little ponies. 🥹 He has been a huuuuge support for Benson and has been gentle with him ever step of the way. He took on the roll as big brother very well 🥰

A pair like these 2 don't come around often. 🩷🩵🦄🩵🩷

Looking for a genuine home for an unraced (but trained to race) 5 year old Tb. We were sold this horse as suitable for beginners, and unfortunately he is not. He will need someone who is well versed in the breed, and knows how to be a leader for him. We have found he can be quite domineering in his paddock and will kick out or turn his bum.

We do not have the experience to retrain him and teach him how to be a good horse, but we do love him so want to see him go to someone who does. We have spent money on him with ulcer treatments, feed, hay and agistment, plus of course the purchase of him, but we just want him to go to a genuine home.

Please don’t enquire if you are just looking for a horse to flip. He deserves more than this.
He is approx 16.2 hh and is 5 years old. His racing name was Bucket buy.

He is $1000 but negotiable for the right home.

💥I would like to introduce Scar the bay to The Hobbit Farm. 🎉🎉🎉

😢This poor fella along with his girlfriend were starved, neglected and then dumped. The ad stated "Wanting to rehome both together or they will be going to there forever home in the sky."

When I first contacted these people I was told immediately that they have to be gone by the end of that week or they will be sent to the doggers.

I went and collected these 2 poor souls on Monday the 2nd of October (the same day I contacted them). The grey was their much loved children's pony and the bay was given to them. The children had a deep connection with these 2 beautiful souls. The children had a set of questions I had to answer and instructions to follow, but unfortunately their guideness in the horse world is not ideal. No telling how long they have suffered and this is not ok. These horses deserve better! 😠

🐴❤️I will post updates of Scar as he gets some much needed TLC. He will know love again.

🦄❤️The grey has gone off to a fantastic couple who will provide her with the utmost care. She is due to see the vet this afternoon and here's hoping for a positive prognosis. If the couple allow me to share updates of how she has settled in, I will share them here.

I know so many people have been eagerly awaiting for this update.

He is the best little lad there could ever be. He is so incredibly resilient and I admire his outlook on life even after such a hard start. He is so loved and incredibly spoilt. So affectionate and playful. ❤️❤️ I love him dearly and I know we aren't meant to have favourites... but he is mine. 😉

Who remembers Gail the bay TB?

She found her perfect home on new years day 2022. I could not have wished for a better home for Gail to have gone too.

I've watched these 2 grow over the last year and a bit and I could not be prouder of how much they've accomplished together! They are the perfect pair and nothing is stopping them.

These photos are from a 20km endurance run where Gail and her beautiful owner came 2nd 🎉🎉🎉

💥STOLEN HORSE STUFF IN GRANDCHESTER💥

I wasn't going to post anything because it was so petty to start with but now it's gone too far.

Someone has been entering my property in Grandchester. It started with something being cut up, then items in the house yard missing. Now, RIGHT BY MY FRONT DOOR they have stolen further items.

This is getting stupid and you will be caught! I urge the idiot doing this to get a life! Trespassers aren't welcome and I have extra security measures in place now.

Edit: I would like to add that this guy drove past slowly about 10 minutes earlier when I was outside. He came back around when I went inside and pulled up to take photos while it was heavily raining. Had this been someone that wasn't doing something suspicious they wouldn't have taken off so quickly when questioned.

Does anyone know this person at all?

They have a rental car and were taking photos of my animals/property today at 11am. When asked what they were doing they quickly got in their car and took off. I have informed police and apparently he has done this to another local property in Grandchester.

To the person who took photos please know I do have cameras all over both of my properties.

Today, for the occasion of my beloved daughter Missy Rose's 4th birthday (may she rest in peace), I decided to take a leisurely walk to my local, accompanied by Frodo (formerly known as Little Man). He has come leaps and bounds! Such a chill dude.
