6mo well bred Kelpie pup looking for a new home.

I have known this puppy from birth, and have personally trained him since 6wo. He's a lovely boy.

Thadelldo Working Dogs

Barloo is a happy and very friendly pup, who at six months old is starting to show his true personality

He’s active inquisitive sensible and obedient.

Barloo comes vaccinated, tattooed, chipped and WKC reg.

Barloo has graduated internal puppy school with honours and knows his basic training of sit, drop, stay, touch/target, leave and recall.

He is looking for someone to now take him to the next level of his training, whether that is as a pet and family dog or a working dog.

He would make a young child very happy as a loving mate.

Both his parents are working dogs. His father, although his bloodlines are unknown, is recognised as a grand champion in Sheep Herding.

His mother is an enthusiastic worker and also has a very happy and friendly demeanour.

Both parents have been physically examined for knee hip and ankle displacement with a 100% negative score.
Both parents have been DNA tested and have come back negative for everything except the father is a carrier for degenerative myelopathy. Being a carrier means that the pups are only at risk if both parents are carriers of this gene, and the mother was clear of all genetic deformities, so all of the pups are also clear.

Barloo has been in the round yard with sheep once and showed great interest. There has been no formal training taken place on stock because I like the owners to do their own training in the way they see fit.
Both parents still have an active role in the pups day-to-day life, and you’re more than welcome to visit the parents along with the pup if you desire.

Off Leash Parks are Not Socialisation

Ever wondered why your dog gets hectic in off leash areas and why when back on leash he or she is a bit reactive to other dogs. The cause is too much uncontrolled off leash exposure and not just to dogs.

Most people are conditioned to take their dogs to off leash parks all innocently in the name of socialisation.

Sadly this is not the way to go.

The meaning of Socialisation is "learning to be social within constraints". There is nothing controlled about an off leash park.

Off leash parks are a breeding ground for impulsive behaviour that in the vast majority of cases is detrimental to teaching dogs how to interact.

If you have ever attended off leash parks I am sure you can identify with the following;

The Bully - This is the dog that runs around smashing into other dogs and being a nuisance,
The Herder - This is the frustrated herding dog that is continuously running around trying to herd all the dogs and sometimes kids,
The Ball Thief - This is the ball obsessed dog that just wants every ball being thrown,
The Unsure Dog - This is the dog that never leaves the owner's side and is not at all comfortable.

While dogs enjoy playing and get to expel some energy, the potential for problems to occur is very high.

In my role as an Expert Witness for court, by far the majority of assessments I have to do are from dog to dog and dog to human incidents in off leash parks.

The best place to take your dog to learn how to be social is a well run professional dog training center which allows on and off leash interaction under guidance and control.

Dogs need to play and run but they also need to have their behaviours directed and made socially appropriate.

What a gorgeous puppy Remi is 💕

She is a Ridgeback cross, adopted from a rescue in NSW, where she and her littermates were left at a vet clinic.

When I entered the home, Remi was very fearful and insecure, hiding behind her owners, but with some guidance (and a few tasty treats) she was lying right next to me on the couch within a very short time. I even got some kisses ❤️

Remi's humans learned how to provide the consistent leadership Remi needs in order to feel secure in her role within the pack.

They will be joining my next group training classes to further Remi's education and build her confidence even more.

This sweet girl is looking for a forever home.

Mindy is a 5yo desexed F Bull Arab/Bull Terrier mix who had been at GAWS for over 6 months before being adopted by current owner.

Although she was adopted with all the best intentions of providing her with a forever home, personal circumstances have unfortunately changed dramatically, with no way of keeping dear Mindy.

Information garnered from GAWS and current owner tells me that she has a sweet temperament. She's quiet, gentle and a bit of a couch potato.

Mindy walks well on the lead.

She needs a home with NO cats.

****Seeking a temporary home for a 2yo American Staffy, with possibility of forever home with you if all goes well.***

Minner needs a loving place to stay for around 12 weeks, while her sister recovers from major surgery.

Minner belongs to my good friend and has a friendly, puppy-like nature, and loves to snuggle.

Crate trained, but hasn't, as yet, spent the night in one, as she prefers to sleep with her people. (Different rules may apply in your home!)

She is non aggressive and may live fine with another dog, but no cats.

Up to date with vaccinations, fleaing, worming etc.

Food will be provided.

Minner will only go to an approved home, as she is a much loved pet. She's just too excitable around her sister, who will need strict rest post surgery.

Please let me know if you might be interested and are able to care for this lovely girl for a few months 💙
