Hello 👋🏻

I'm excited to share a significant update with you all! After returning to full-time studies last year (while enjoying seeing all your wonderful dogs), I'm proud to announce that I've completed my Masters of Professional Psychology 🎓📚 I've since joined a fantastic child and adolescent psychology clinic here in Geelong.

What does this mean for Fetching Behaviour? I will be pausing my dog training consultations for the time being. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has trusted me with their beloved dogs. Working with you and your amazing dogs has been an absolute joy, and I remain passionate about kind, evidence-based, and effective training methods.

My philosophy has always been that training should be enjoyable for both human and dog – after all, what's the point of learning if everyone isn't having fun? I believe that the foundation of animal training should be based on mutual trust and friendship- something that I know all of you are also aligned with.

While I won't be taking new clients, I'll maintain this page and occasionally share training information and videos featuring my own animals (and the many pictures I took during the year and didn't get around to posting). There may be a time in the future when I resume consultations, but for now, I'm cherishing my free time with my own pets.

I have had the most wonderful time working with this gorgeous litter of Goldies over the past few weeks. Their incredible breeder Felicity includes group lessons in her puppy pack for the new puppy guardians. Golden mum Sunni was in attendance to oversee my work.. I think she approves. All the pups and parents did a fabulous job and it was so lovely to see the litter playing and having fun learning too 💛

Shout out to this living legend who celebrated his 15th birthday this week 🥳 Scout had a birthday festival really as it spanned over several days. We are so lucky that even at his distinguish age Scout is still helping out our reactive and excitable dogs at Fetching Behaviour. He is a wonderful role model and is our Employee of the Month every month!

🌴🐶Bali dogs 🐶🌴 and a cheeky palm civet.
I have had a wonderful holiday in Ubud, Bali this week and spotted these cuties. It was stressful seeing them all loose and so close to roads but they do seem to navigate their worlds well. Lots of scruffy, itchy dogs to be seen!

Baby Choco completed his puppy training program over the past few months. This little guy and his parents learnt a lot of new skills that they will be able to use for the rest of their lives together. Choco was such a sweetie and weighed all of the 2kg I believe !

Gorgeous Boofa and his mum came back and booked in for a tune up! This guy is a champ and did a great job brushing up on his old skills. Just like Boof everyone is welcome back for some brushing up on learnt skills or you might like to build on from them. All follow up sessions are at a discounted rate!

Gorgeous puppy Remi had some training for puppy skills and mild resource guarding. I can't stress how important it is so get onto behavious like resource guarding quickly. We can prevent this unwanted behaviour escalating and give you the skills to address unwanted behaviours like this using force free, relationship building (not breaking) methods. Well done to Remi and her family for doing an awesome job ⭐

Beautiful Monty was recently adopted and his fur ever mum wanted to help him build some foundation skills and confidence as he is transitioning into his new life. Monty is such a gorgeous fellow with so much love to give I'm so happy he has a home to call his own now.

Training is not just for baby puppies (although please bring them to me I love working with pups) but for any life stage! Our goal is to build your dog training skills up and promote a loving and harmonious relationship between you and your dog.
