Calling for volunteers!
Our Retrieving Trial is rapidly approaching and we need volunteers for a variety of roles esp. volunteers to throw dummies for our competitors. If you are available on Saturday 7th Sept or Sunday 8th Sept 2024 for a day or a morning, please reply to this post. This Trial is fun and you get to see some awesome dogs and handlers.

A massive shout out to Erin Matthews and Jimmy (Pomeranian) for an awesome weekend of trialling - kicking goals all round. Erin and Jimmy placed 1st in Novice Obedience and finished on a score of 95/100 in Rally Excellent at the Deer Bush Trial last weekend. Well done!

Congrats to two MDOC members who recently very successfully competed in a Retrieving Trial @ Kanimbla in the Southern Highlands. This was held on the June long weekend over three days.
Dale Cameron and his Vizsla bitch
"Hubertus Bound To Impress" aka Joan, finished the weekend with 2 x 1sts and a 3rd placing, which led them to be awarded The Mary Law Shield for the Highest Scoring Novice dog over the three days. Joan also earned her RND (Retrieving Novice Dog) title.
Ted McEniery and his German Shorthair Pointer dog "Pointmore Black Rain CDX RA ORA" aka Baz, finished the weekend with a 3rd and 2 x 5th placings and was awarded The Mary Law Shield for the Highest Scoring Restricted dog.
MDOC community would like to extend a huge congratulations to Dale and Ted for these achievements. There are many, many hours of training dedicated to achieve such results.

Unfortunately Maitland Council has had to close all grounds due to the wet weather https://www.maitland.nsw.gov.au/services/recreation-facilities/sporting-facility-closures

As a result training for Sunday May 5th has been cancelled.
