In Loving Memory of Kevin
Our Beloved Clinic Cat
Kevin first arrived at our veterinary clinic as a stray — though “stray” might be a generous term. He quickly made it clear that he belonged here, and before long, he became part of the furniture (sometimes literally, depending on how long his naps ran).
In his younger years, Kevin was the fattest cat you’ve ever seen, carrying himself with the confidence of a feline who knew he was admired from every angle. He oversaw the clinic with quiet authority, accepting pats and admiration from staff and clients alike, as long as it didn’t interfere with his meal schedule.
Last November Kevin cashed in on his long service leave and left clinic life to retire at home with our Practice Manager Shelley and her family of numerous two and four legged friends. He enjoyed the good life: long naps on the bed, shameless domination of mealtimes, bottomless treats and claiming any and every patch of sunlight as his own.
Kevin’s days were filled with warmth, comfort, and the unwavering devotion of those lucky enough to know him. He leaves behind countless memories, a few strategically placed tufts of fur, and a legacy as THE most loved clinic cat that there ever was.
To Kevin; thank you for the endless laughs and comic relief, thank you for putting up with our antics, thank you for providing comfort to our staff on the toughest of days, thank you for being a mentor to all of the orphan kittens and puppies that our nurses have raised, thank you for being you Kev. You’ve been loved by so many and will be missed forever. We hope your bowl will be forever full, your naps uninterrupted and your days spent basking in eternal winter sun. Godspeed X
