Happy Friday from chicken enthusiast Ted. Have you ever seen such aggressive begging?! π We hear you, Ted! π
We have some very clever patients here at Lennox Head Vet Clinic. π Our good friend Cream showed off his skills this week with this excellent performance. β€οΈ Give the dog an Oscar! π
The goodest boy π₯Ή. Nurse Piper's dog Archie was in hospital with us recently with this awful rash! π Archie has allergies, and was having an allergic reaction to something he'd come into contact with πΎ. The nurses carefully clipped and cleaned his irritated areas, and he was given medication to help settle his skin down. Archie is doing much better and has promised to keep out of trouble. β€οΈ Although as you can see, he doesn't seem too phased by the whole experience π
. Got to love Retriever energy! πΆ
Mondays made better by puppies β
οΈ. Millie is the arm accessory we all need this winter! ππ
Such a cute girl.
Have you seen some of the new editions to our in-clinic @pablo.and.co collection? π€© New patterns, waterproof π¦ materials, air tags, treat bags and more!! Come down for a bit of poochy (or kitty π±) retail therapy π
.
Happy Friday from nurse Marcia, Vet Tech Sasha and gorgeous Lucy who was in hospital with us recently. β€οΈ Holding your pet for catheter placements (and any of their treatments) usually just involves a big cuddle π₯°, and lots of check-ins with your pet to make sure they're feeling comfortable and not too stressed πΆπ±. As a vet team, we often have some difficult, tiring and disgusting π«£ tasks every now and then, but comforting your pets is always a huge highlight. π
We love our neigh-bours! π΄ Sol and Zephyr having a lunchtime apple in the sun with our nurses π. These boys are actually Dr Sophia's horses, and will often come over for a sticky beak to see what mum's up to. π Two very loved and very happy horses!
Have you entered our Easter competitions yet?! Nurse Piper is doing her best to sneak into the kid's colouring comp... π Come down and grab your colouring sheets and have a guess at our egg jars while you're at it! π«π° Lots of delicious prizes to be won πππ. Come down and get in while you can this week!!
Many people comment on the beautiful brown goshawk portrait in our waiting room, shot by the incredible Leila Jeffreys π¦
. If you're a fan, please do check out Leila's upcoming collaborative exhibition 'Nest' as part of Vivid Sydney 2024. A sneak peak for you below!
'This will be a large scale work - a monumentally immersive installation; a halo of light and movement that celebrates the Australian Brolga and their beautiful courtship dance.
Our heartfelt thanks goes to so many people, firstly the @vividsydney team, cinematographer @chrisbryanfilms, composer @jacksonmicomilas, bonsai artist Hugh Grant @tree_makers, producers @photoplayfilms, and bird trainers Ravi and Alex from @featheredfriendsbirdsanctuary who worked for months with the most beautiful birds, including the rescued Miss Brolga.
The work will be found on Stargazers Lawn, Barangaroo, from 24 May until 15 June as part of Australia's largest festival of light.'
Get down and enjoy! π¦’
A neat little snapshot of Penguin π, prepped and ready for surgery last week! π Like all of our patients, Penguin had a couple of different probes attached to measure her heart rate, respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, and end-tidal COΒ². Monitoring these vitals helped nurse Marcia manage her anaesthetic safely and effectively π, and allowed Dr Evan to safely complete his surgery with the peace of mind that Penguin was happily snoozing π΄.
Is there anything cuter than the happy, wiggly tail of a duck? π Here is one of our favourite patients Marjorie the Pekin duck strutting her stuff in the waiting room ππ. We see quite a few ducks here at Lennox Head Vet Clinic, but Marjorie is certainly one of the more confident girlies! π
