Usually I recommend longer settling time for show clips, but I can still get you a lovely result if you let me take my time! 🥰

Our beautiful Gracefield Park Skylarke, sporting a full clip for her show 🥰

Skye started the winter in a blanket clip, upgraded to a hunter clip for warmer days at dressage, and into a full clip for showing!

Beautiful Tucker had his chaser clip upgraded today for his upcoming pony club show this weekend. Also helped the owners play around with a bit of makeup.

He will be much comfier on these warm days, and much easier to wash and dry for his upcoming events 🦄

Such a gorgeous little madam for her full clip!

Her owner let me know she usually doesn't like her ears done and has been twitched, we managed to get her ears done without thanks to patience and some carrots 🥕🥕

I've condensed my Bacchus Marsh run to one day on the 15th, so I now have appointments THIS SATURDAY and Saturday the 22nd. I don't often have weekends up for grabs!

Gear upgrade! My new clippers are entirely cordless 🤩

At most appointments I still ask for access to power for my battery charger, but if that's not an option for you I can book a time to come to you fully charged. 🦄

A working Clip and a wellness clip today! The wellness clip was for a horse with a skin condition, to help her owners treat her more easily.

If you have a horse who needs a Clip for treatment we can Clip outside of our regular styles to suit your needs!

All equipment is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and rested after the clip as well.

Something a bit different - I was invited to do a clipping demonstration at a local pony club, but thought getting hands on sounded a bit more fun!

So I washed and prepped our lesson horse Indie, and she happily came out and let the kids try their hands at clipping. Pictured is the work of the youngest group 🙈 who could barely reach her side.

With help from some of the older kids, and a bit of smoothing by myself I think the kids did a pretty good job!

Preppong for your clip and your horse looks like this? Mine too!

In this wet and muddy weather if your horse comes in a little muddy after their bath don't stress if the mud is where we aren't clipping (legs are the main muddy spot, and they are usually left on).

Give them a good curry on their belly where their rugs don't cover, and if they've had a good scrub we will be fine.

If your horse looks like mine before their bath, give them a good curry all over, and lift as much dirt as you can first.

Wash thoroughly, and my best tip is to use a stiff brush to scrub in their shampoo. Make sure to rinse all of the shampoo out too.

A nice chaser clip for this first timer! He was rather unsure about it all at first, and very tense. We took it nice and slow, with a few breaks, and before he knew it we were all done! 🐎

Always happy to take it slow and steady with the nervous horses, and if their clipping experiences start out positive we usually have a very happy horse in the next visit!
