AMPS state show last weekend. was lovely mild weather, here are some pics of Toby and Mabel (and me) was very pleased with the babies behaviour especially Mabel who is such a good girl. thankyou to Pine Grove Stable & Karen-David Bail for sponsoring the awards we won.

I’m so proud of my little Mabel. she came out to the APSB youngstock show today by herself and she is so calm, behaved 100% in the ring. She is such a good girl

Baby Cowboy just over one week old- getting quite chonky looking! not interested in being my friend just yet, despite my best butt scratches. He met and loves his uncle Smokey this week (much to Smokey’s annoyance lol)

i am pleased to introduce you all to our new arrival- a little bay tobiano c**t born at the respectful time of 730pm yesterday evening. I think Marie wanted to evict him before the hot weather today!

thankfully everything went very well and hes doing all the right things. not 100% on a name yet but i’m thinking Alfirin Hey Good Lookin’ / Cowboy….

yesterday we attended the AMPS kick off show and the APSB shetland championship show. Little Mabel at 1yo behaves so well, I am so so proud of this filly and her beautiful nature. thankyou Kirstie Murch Photography for the lovely photographs as always! appreciate it.

Rainy and cold at the SABA show Mt Pleasant today. the babies were very well behaved Mabel got 1st best presented & 1st filly yr, Toby got 1st c**t & champion stallion/c**t. They also enjoyed a scone at the float before the show 🙂 very happy with the morning despite the weather, thankyou Clayton for coming and helping as always.

We went to Gawler show yesterday. Alfirin Touch of Class aka “Toby” got champion AMPS c**t/Stallion & Alfirin Maybe its Maybelline aka “Mabel” got 1st filly 1yr and 2nd junior apsb shetland. Mabel behaved impeccably as usual and Toby was a typical boy, though not too bad. just a few fidgets and a rear or 2. very pleased with my babies. huge thankyou to A.C.E Photography for the lovely pictures so very much appreciated, and of course Clayton for coming and holding ponies for me. ♥️

We went to the “Stars of the Future” Show run by SA Arabs this morning. we were the smallest competitors there by far but received a warm and friendly welcome which was lovely 🥰 Toby came away with the supreme coloured foal exhibit, and Mabel got 3rd in the open foal class. Aside from Toby not wanting to trot i was very pleased with my babies behaviour out and about today. Thankyou to the sponsors of the show and congratulations to all competitors. lovely photos by Plain & Simple Imagery ❤️

My post has been a bit delayed because i’ve been busy today.. but here we are 🙂 we went to the AMPS foal/youngstock/ mature stock feature show held at wayville showgrounds animal expo yesterday. Mabel & Toby made their first trip out without their mums, and were very very brave and well behaved given the crowd of people at the expo and the long way they had to walk to the showground.
Mabel won her filly & champion filly class, and Toby won the Supreme Pony Foal!
This was his first time at any competition so i was extremely proud of his behaviour (given how naughty he is at home, lol)
Of course i didn’t get any pictures whilst i was there so here is one from today and he’s dirty. I have lots of people to thank for sponsoring-

I had a helper today at the APSB pony championship show… Farrah Launer took Bunny in her classes for me. I was so proud of her, she did an amazing job especially after being kicked in the hand by another horse! She went in fashions on the field and came 3rd out of 8, and then went on to place in all her classes & got a reserve champion! Congratulations Farrah you did so well today! ❤️

and who can forget poor Smokey, we were feather dusters yesterday being defeated for the Supreme Appendix but he is still a star in my eyes. he managed to get himself filthy in his stable after his bath before the show, so he’s not as white as i like him to be but we did our best.

I took baby Mabel (along with mum Bunny and Uncle Smokey) to the AMPS state championship show at Balhannah yesterday. This was her second outing but first full show. we didn’t do amazingly in the ribbon department but she did do amazing in the behaviour and cuteness department i think! she did everything asked of her and even had many children coming to pat and talk to her. for a 4 month old i was pretty pleased! She is such a sweetheart and i love her to pieces ❤️ some beautiful pictures by Horizons Photography (and one by Clayton too)

Mr Smokey still has the touch ❤️ not clipped, LOTS of elbow grease to turn him white from the apricot colour he likes to be, and he was frisky in the ring today - 2 shows, lovely comments from the judges and 2x supreme appendix pony. love our boy to bits.

Little Mabel is losing her baby fluff and is shiny black under there. this bubba is such a darling, i might take that back when she hits the terrible twos but for now she has the best temperament and i love her to pieces ❤️
