โœจ Is Your Pet Extra Itchy Lately? โœจ
Scratching, biting, rubbing, or rollingโ€ฆ it might look โ€œcuteโ€ at first, but persistent itchiness can be a sign of irritation, agitation or even real discomfort ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ

If your pet is showing any of these signs, itโ€™s important to have them checked. Itchiness can stem from allergies, parasites, skin infections, diet sensitivities, or underlying health issues.
The sooner we identify the cause, the sooner we can help them feel like themselves again ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑโœจ

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€โš•๏ธ Ask our Vets today how we can help with the itch.
Weโ€™re here to bring comfort back to your petโ€™s skin and ease back into their happy routines.

Why face the world when you can peek out from a designer cuddle pouch? ๐Ÿ‘

These tiny pups have discovered lifeโ€™s greatest hack for maximum comfort, maximum attention, zero effort.
Heads out, paws in, hearts melting everywhere they go ๐Ÿ’•

Handbags: not just for phones and keysโ€ฆ but for puppies who believe the world should come to them.

๐ŸŒก๏ธ Heat Stroke in Dogs โ€“ What Every Pet Owner Needs to Know ๐Ÿ’œ

As temperatures rise, our furry family can be at risk of heat stroke.
This is a serious, life-threatening condition and all dogs are potentially at risk. Knowing what the signs are and how to prevent it can save your dogโ€™s life ๐Ÿถ

โš ๏ธ Signs to look out for:
โ€ข Heavy panting or difficulty breathing ๐Ÿซ
โ€ข Excessive drooling and/or foaming at the mouth ๐Ÿ˜ฐ
โ€ข Bright red or pale gums ๐Ÿ‘„
โ€ข Vomiting or diarrhea ๐Ÿคข
โ€ข Weakness, wobbliness, collapse, or seizures ๐Ÿ›Œ
โ€ข Rapid heartbeat or uncoordinated movements ๐Ÿ’“
โ€ข Trying to cool down ๐ŸŒฌ
โ€ข High body temperature ๐ŸŒก๏ธ

๐Ÿพ Dogs at higher risk:
โ€ข Brachycephalic breeds (like Bulldogs, Frenchies, Pugs, and Boxers) ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ
โ€ข Puppies, seniors, and overweight dogs ๐Ÿ•
โ€ข Dogs with underlying health conditions ๐Ÿ’Š
โ€ข High-energy or very active dogs that overexert themselves in the heat ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿ’ง Prevention tips:
โ€ข Avoid exercise during the hottest parts of the day โ˜€๏ธ
โ€ข Provide plenty of fresh water and shaded areas ๐ŸŒณ
โ€ข In extreme heat try to keep your dog inside where it is cooler ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ
โ€ข Never leave your dog in a parked car ๐Ÿš—โŒ
โ€ข Use cooling mats or vests for sensitive dogs ๐ŸงŠ
โ€ข Frozen treats and frozen slow feeders to keep their brain busy and body hydrated ๐Ÿ’ฆ

๐Ÿšจ What to do if your dog has heat stroke:
1. Start cooling them down and contact your Vet Clinic.
Using cool water or Methylated spirits in the armpits and legs to draw heat out of the body.
2. Move them to the car for transport. Keeping windows down to increase airflow and continue the cooling process if able to.

By contacting your clinic in advance, you allow them to prepare for a dog experiencing heat stroke, ensuring they can provide care more quickly and efficiently.

๐Ÿ’œ At Noahโ€™s, we provide an Emergency Service Subscription to ensure your pets have access to urgent care when itโ€™s needed most.

๐Ÿพ Hydro Dog of the Week โ€“ Bruno the Retriever! ๐Ÿ’ฆ

Big cheers for Bruno, the playful retriever completing the SuperPups Learn to Swim Puppy Pack!
After only a few sessions, Bruno has blossomed with confidence, playing with toys in the water and even making a big splash off the pods! We couldnโ€™t be prouder of his progress ๐Ÿฅน๐Ÿ’œ

๐ŸŒŸ About the SuperPups Learn to Swim
๐Ÿถ Puppy Pack:
This specially designed program gives puppies a gentle and positive introduction to water, helping them feel comfortable and confident in the pool under the supervision of our experienced team.
Itโ€™s a 4-week program that builds swimming skills at your puppyโ€™s own pace, boosts physical fitness, improves coordination, and lays a foundation for future hydrotherapy or fitness work later in life.

๐Ÿถ Why early swim training matters:
Early exposure to water through a structured program like SuperPups can support muscle development, enhance coordination, and promote socialisation in a safe, encouraging environment - setting puppies up for a lifetime of confidence and fun in the water ๐ŸŒŠ

๐Ÿ“… Ready to get your puppy swimming?
You can book your puppy into the SuperPups Learn to Swim program by visiting the online booking page here: www.noahscrossingvetclinic.com.au/superpups-learn-to-swim/

๐ŸŽ† Keeping Pets Safe This New Yearโ€™s Eve ๐Ÿพ

As we welcome the New Year, please remember that fireworks and celebrations can be frightening for our pets ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿ˜บ๐Ÿฆ

Keep animals indoors, ensure doors and gates are secure, provide a quiet and comfortable space, and avoid leaving pets outside during peak fireworks times. If your pet is especially anxious, calming aids or advice from your vet or trainer may help.

We wish all our clients, pets, and families a safe, joyful, and peaceful New Year.
Thank you for trusting us with your care and hereโ€™s to a happy and healthy year ahead! โœจ๐Ÿ’œ
