Sarah's Horse Adventures sharing my experiences of learning to work and ride with different horses/equine. 🏇🫶🐎 . May this year 2023 I finally got on a horse and rode for the first time.

Hi, my name is Sarah and I've made this page to share my experience and journey of working within the horse/equine world. I started doing horse therapy in late December 2020 for my mental health and quickly fell in love with horses and found my passion for working with them. I've Learnt basic horse care and horsemanship I've also been learning skills to train them, eg lunging, long lines, etc.

. I completed a certificate 2 in animal studies in 2021, and in 2022 I started a certificate 3 in companionship animals although I never completed this due to life getting in the way, I plan to in the future. On March 28th this year 2023 I started volunteering once a week at a local horse riding place for disabled/neurodiverse children. Using the experience I've gained at therapy E.g catching them from padecks, basic care, saddling, and grooming, I'm able to confidently be around the horses and also help the children with activities while side walking. while also being neurodiverse myself it can be a challenge at times as its something different to what I'm used to but I strive in practical work, and being around animals and nature is what I love as it helps keep me grounded, in the long run, i think it'll help me and as a person ill grow even more. something I've been working towards for a while I'll continue to do it and get more confident and better each time. Finally reached my goal 2 weeks ago, I've been working on mounting/dismounting and my confidence while ba****ck getting better each time, so now I'm able to climb on stirrups with saddle it feels great to achieve something I've wanted to do for such a long time. 😆🐴
