He's a lovable and loyal boy, but needs to be the only dog in the home. 🏡

King has fantastic recall and walks well on a lead. He is looking for an active lifestyle as he is a young and energetic dude.

After 127 days in care, Bernie, Alex and Doug are still looking for their forever homes. They were found dumped at the river at 6 weeks old with their two sisters (who have since found their forever homes), riddled with worms and in poor condition, and have been in care ever since. Although lapdogs at heart, these boys will be large dogs- which just means there’s more of them to love. 🥰

ALEX- Loyal, attentive, outgoing and the smartest of the bunch.

DOUG- A big do**us, just happy to be here, laid back, chill and easy going.

BERNIE- Happy fella, eager to please, playful and affectionate.

They have basic manners and know how to; wait for their dinner, sit, shake and lie down. They are working on walking on the lead, come and stay. They have Been around older dogs, have had some interaction with cats and are good with chickens.

We are ideally looking for their new forever homes, but we are also seeking potential foster carers. The three of them together have outgrown their current foster home, and we are looking for people who can give them some more one-on-one time (away from their brothers) to reinforce their manners and give them the love that they deserve.

There is still a possibility for major flooding in our region as well as further destructive winds with Alfred set to make landfall tomorrow (Saturday 8/7)

Please utilise all these useful contacts should issues arise.

Our staff are running off limited resources and staffing. We have provided the Lismore evac centre with as much provisions as we possibly could for people evacuating with animals.

There are limited carriers, crates, food, etc available.

THANK YOU TO ALL THE AMAZING VOLUNTEERS FOR HELPING OUR CENTRE!!!!

All our dogs, cats and rabbits in care are safely and securely bunkering down, ready for the potential weather threats.

We will endeavour to return calls and emails next week.

Some of our crew will hopefully be available over the next few days to assist with needs like carriers or reuniting animals with their owners.

Ricky and Rory came into care when they were only 5 weeks old, they were trapped on a property and absolutely terrified

Now at 4 months old, they are no longer terrified but are still patiently waiting for that puurrrfect place where they can snuggle up together with their new family ❤️
