π€ Fun Fact Friday π€
πΎ Feathertail gliders have the most unique tail of the mammal world, with stiff bristly hairs extending horizontally from their tail to look like a feather(hence their name)
πΎ Feathertail gliders are tiny little creatures that when they are adults weigh less than 15g!They can glide a massive distances extending between 14-28m!
πΎ Their feet are also amazing with serrated groves on their pads to allow them to climb just about anything. The pads also have many sweat glands creating enough moisture to act as mini suction cups allowing them to even scale vertical windows!
Raspy breathing is one of the signs of Tick Paralysis
We have almost treated one quarter of our last years tally of TICK PARALYSIS patients already in 2 months π Not included in our tally is deaths/euthanasia without treatment.
We would like you to listen to this video.
This video is of a tick paralysis affected cat simply trying to breathe. One of the worst sounds in the world π₯Ί
