Alkatronic at INTERZOO
One of the most talked about new products, is the Alkatronic. Consistency in water chemistry is an important factor for sucess in a marine aquarium, and KH is potentially one of the bigggest issues, with demand influenced by so many factors. The Alkatronic was born from a need for an easily managed, and easy to set up unit that takes care of KH - totally!
Much has been written about the Alkatronic, but it automatically samples and tests the aquarium water, then doses as required - building a profile all along of the aquarium it is managing, in order to precisely manage small, and potentially large, KH demand variations. Already, the first production batch of Alkatronic, has caused a lot of 'buzz', and units have been credited with 'saving the day' for mare than one aquarium out there.
The first production was gone before we could get our hands on any, but the production run for the updated version is expected to be finished this month for shipment to us in the next few weeks for our Australian and New Zealand customers.

BRISTLE WORMS - Another Day
After disposing of our catch from the previous day, we cleaned the Dupla Wormex, placed some fresh food in the chamber, and again placed on the bottom of the aquarium.
That was yesterday afternoon. 18 hours later, this moring shows even more impressive results. Note the size range of the worms caught.

BRISTLE WORMS
Most marine aquariums have them, and while some would argue, that they perform a useful janitorial role there can always be too much of a good thing. Left uncontrolled, bristle worms can cause real damage.
The DUPLA Wormex is a very neat, and simple to use device, that works very, very well.
