Many of our past customers would remember Harry, and the friendly service he provided to them. He was a key team member in our business for over 15 years, and we always received positive feedback regarding him and how he helped people.

We shared many, many amazing times with Harry, and will always be grateful for his contribution to our business, his friendship, and those funny, stressful, and celebratory times spent.

Well do I remember when interviewing Harry, after a few minutes, it felt like I was interviewing myself! We were of course very different, but shared a lot of common perspectives on life, technical abilities, and interests. Harry started out being my right-hand man, and once Karen joined us full-time, quickly became hers too.

Harry had his ways, and one of those was doing things, and living life his way 🙂.

It is with great sadness, that we must advise Harry is no longer with us in body.
You will however always be with us in memory Harry - the many conversations you and I had on life, and apart from your other talents, no one could put a display together like you!
Our hearts go out to Harrys' partner Kaaren, their families and friends.

ABS Technologies and Addicted2Fish - Taking it to The Next Level.

I am very pleased to announce that from 2022, distribution of all ABS Technologies products will be from the facilities of Addicted2Fish.

With the merging of our business into Addicted2Fish, I see this taking the two businesses to the next level, providing the most complete line of exclusive and quality products to the Australian and New Zealand market, with a more centralised location, logistics, and market pe*******on benefits.

While it is expected this move will free up myself & Karen from the day to day front-line activities, I will be working alongside Arj in my usual roles of supply partner liaison, and the more in-depth technical queries and co-ordination.

There are some exciting marketing and supply changes to be announced in the New Year, but Arj and I think that is enough for all of us right now with Christmas so close!

Distribution from our current premises will cease on Friday 10th December, so please get your orders in as soon as possible.
Stock will be available from the new location, from 3rd January 2022.

First pre production unit which will follow by the main production in the next 1-2 weeks. This unit will be reviewed by us at Focustronic and once it is tested fine, green light will be given for the rest of the batch.

Here target value is 7.45dKH and hence that is what ODA has as target aswell.
It’s almost ridiculous well tuned. Thanks to the combo Alkatronic /Dosetronic with all the auto regulatory functions on. (Action mode, ODA, SDA sometimes if needed).
This is a 3 year old machine by the way. As long as you follow the very easy maintenance programme it’s a very very long life machine with not a slightest sign of aging despite measure every 3 hour since 3 year back. (Approx 10500 measurements)

So it is a very big week for Focustronic, with earlier our announcement of pre-orders for the much awaited Mastertronic.

Today we announce Solartronic - the flagship lighting fixture from Focustronic, with patented dynamic light source!

Apart from the unique dynamic lighting source, when combined with the Mastertronic, the lighting intensity can be automatically adjusted based on nutrient or even alkalinity (PO4, NO3, dKH) readings.
From many documentations, it has been confirmed that the higher the nutrients, the higher the lighting intensity should be, or at least not at the same level before the increase in nutrient levels. With this patented dynamic lighting feature, corals do not receive a static lighting angle, but multiple angles which create multiple ‘sweetspots’ per fixture. This will promote normal response to the more natural lighting pattern, resulting in natural growth, while reducing shadowing due to overgrown colonies.

These unique features take reefing automation to the next level – unimagined until now!

A lot of comments/requests have been received by Focustronic from various reefers who are extremely happy with the Alkatronic and Dosetronic and have been eagerly awaiting the Solartronic release. Well, pre-orders are now being taken for this amazing lighting system.

This new new lighting spectrum is a result of a cooperation with renowned lighting brand – ReefBrite. The ST also includes ReefBrite’s most sought after product, the XHO, which will offer the best color pop and light spread.

Brief Specification:
• 280W full spectrum LED reef fixture with dynamic motion (2 axis)
• +/- 24 degrees for each axis. Mimic sun travel across the reef with blanket lighting.
• Powered by ReefBrite’s industry leading XHO LED strips and cluster
• Different lighting profiles (spectrum, intensity and angles) for different days of the week (7 days, 7 different profiles)
• 8 individually controlled lighting channels (XHO, Cool White, Blue, Royal Blue x 2, Photo Red, Green, UV)
• Wi-Fi iOS and/or Android app with cloud access
• Dimension: 52 (L) x 39 (W) and 11.2cm at the highest point (middle)

Feature Highlights:
• Dynamic lighting angle prevents hotspot bleaching of corals, but allows fixture to run at higher (max) output to bring out more colours
• Lighting should not be ‘set and forget’ but rather a constantly changing parameter (PAR) in relation to water chemistry such as nutrients and alkalinity.
• Different lighting profiles for different days of week. An individual fixture in a group can also have a different lighting profile for best light angles.
• Auto adjustment of lighting intensity based on nutrient level. Example: lighting at 70% (defined by user) and with PO4 at 0.1ppm. Mastertronic now has a new reading of 0.3 PO4 and will increase lighting intensity for the profile by 10%. When PO4 resumes 0.1ppm, the intensity is returned to the default 70%. Will also adjust in opposite direction, when nutrient is too low and intensity therefore should be reduced.

Alkatronic & Dosetronic Going Fast!
But Mastertronic is Coming Soon!!!

Already, we have only a few left from our latest shipment of Alkatronic and Dosetronic units, so for those who were thinking about it, now is the time to act! The acceptance of these leading edge products has been far and wide - from renowned professionals and commercial facilities, to serious hobbyists.

Then there is the highly anticipated Mastertronic, and from today we are able to take pre-orders, with pricing released, and production of the first batch underway.

A warning - with worldwide demand, and limited supply of critical components, there will be many who miss out. We can only order so many. Therefore it must be first in, first served.

Mastertronic (MT) is the latest addition to the Focustronic product range for automated water testing equipment.
MT will communicate with other products such as Alkatronic, Dosetronic, Solartronic (patented dynamic lighting fixture), and Powertronic (smart power strip).
Above images are for reference. Tooling is now in production for the new MT casing to provide the generic design in-line with Alkatronic and Dosetronic, providing door opening, for access with the now iconic rounded corners of these leading edge products.

Feature Highlights:
• Ability to auto adjust Ca and Mg dosing levels in Dosetronic as even balanced dosing can require adjustments from time to time. This will be done via ODA.
• MT will pass test data to Solartronic, which can be used to automatically adjust intensity based on either PO4 or NO3. This is another unique feature in the Focustronic product range
• With the release of Powertronic, features to trigger on/off or timer functions for the controlled outlets, will be available. Applications such as control of algae reactor light with drop in PO4 levels, is just one example.
• For ULNS, dosing PO4 and NO3 can also be regulated via Dosetronic.
• Additional features in Dosetronic for daily feeding, may also be adjusted based on data.
