Lukota are so excited to welcome this handsome little man Bolt. At 8 weeks old Stacey and the family have bought Bolt to Lukota to take part in our puppy program which includes a lot of environmental exposure as well as beginners obedience. At only 2 sessions in and at 10 weeks old, he’s rapidly advancing already responding to sit, drop, up, come, place and we started roll over today. Doing classes like this help puppies advance through the fear period and become well rounded dogs and gets a great start on obedience. I’d like to congratulate Stacey and the family they have done an awesome job putting in the effort in between classes.

Lukota would like to welcome handler Bree and this gorgeous little girl Maple. Bree and her mum Andrea have come to us to learn basic obedience and build Maples confidence as well as build there confidence in handling Maple. Maple is a very smart girl and definitely a quick learner I look forward to seeing how they progress through our program.

I’m so proud of my girls taking first and 3rd place

Well there was a lot of great dogs and tough competition out there today but my Lukota girls shined bright, they went out there and gave it their best with Lucy taking first place and Shelby tying for 2nd place but due to points took 3rd in there classes I’m so proud of my girls. The time we put into training them has really paid off today. And in 2 short weeks Shelby has passed all 3 beginners classes and is now in pink and Lucy has gone up to green.

We are so excited and nervous. 2 of our Girls have been entered in there first trials day we have been training really hard the past few weeks in the hope to take home some ribbons.

Lukota and handler Lucas have worked hard with Nala to help her with dog reactivity and anxiety around other dogs. Nala has made so much progress over the past 8 weeks we have been able to successfully introduce up to 3 dogs at a single time without any negative reaction. She has also been non reactive and very relaxed in places she wasn’t able to attend before like the vet waiting room. Well done Lucas and Nala you guys are super stars 🤩

8 weeks ago handler Lucas bought Nala to Lukota to get some help with obedience, dog reactivity and recall. Nala started off with no basic obedience skill set and really couldn’t be around other dogs, now look at her 🤩 well done Lucas and Nala all the hard work you have put in and your training with Lukota rain hail or shine has really paid off. Being able to walk off lead in a heel position with distractions is a massive achievement.

We have had a massive weekend at Lukota. People ask me why as a trainer do I still put my dogs through training at dog clubs? that is for one reason Socialisation!! I feel as a dog owner you can never get enough socialisation. Socialisation creates well balanced beautiful natured dogs and it allows me to use my fur baby’s to help customers work on issues like dog reactivity and dog anxiety.
Well done to my beautiful little Lucy for all the hard work we have done she received her pink certificate today after making it through all 3 puppy levels over the past 6 sundays. Bring on the next few advanced levels she is definitely up for the challenge.

Lukota have been working with Lucas Taranto and his beautiful 3yo German shepherd Nala we are working hard on basic obedience and recall. Nala is also very dog/animal reactive making hard for Lukas to take her out around other animals. So check in over the coming months to see how she’s travelling.
