Still quite gusty and raining but we are over the worst of it. Fingers and paws crossed.🤞🌈🐾

To those who have either suffered.. or are YET to suffer TC Alfred's effects of serious damage, blackouts, flooding and MISPLACED ANIMALS....we are thinking of you! 🐾♥️

Try to stay calm and strong....and maintain that Aussie sense of humour. We're thinking of YOU. 💕

Well....while Cyclone Alfred 'toys' with us, here's some interesting info. on the BEST TIME TO DESEX your pet..including effects on Bone and Mental Health, Cancer risks etc. Definitely worth the read!

Please prepare for PETS also!..and remember, if YOU are stressed, THEY will stress too. Keep appliances charged, have food, water, meds and security toys/blankets readily available plus torches and batteries...just in case.....especially Thursday at this stage...

Tropical cyclone Alfred is predicted to get closer to the coast throughout the week.
Please make sure you are prepared with anything your pets may need should road closures and flooding occur. This includes medications, food and water.

While we endeavour to have both clinics open to serve the community, accessibility and staff shortages may affect our opening hours and consult availability.

Zen Doggy Canine Remedial Therapies felt honoured to volunteer services at the monthly Brisbane Pets In The Park clinic today at Spring Hill.
Working alongside volunteer vets, vet nurses, admin and coordinators, several beautiful dogs received a massage helping their loving owners understand the therapeutic benefits of it. 🐾♥️

Re. 'Migrating' microchips....

This is an X-ray of a dog’s bent front leg. See that tiny white spec? That’s a microchip! It has migrated down the leg....far from where it was inserted, between the dog’s shoulders. This is actually quite common.....

When lost pets are scanned, the entire body SHOULD be scanned to catch any that have migrated. But, as an owner, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AT THEIR YEARLY VET EXAM, to ask for a quick scan to make sure that: (1) the chip is still working, (2) the location of the chip is good, and (3) that the chip info is correct.

Remember microchips save lives and reunite families with their pet.... just have it checked regularly!

** UPDATE. Remedial Massage appointments for this week have been deferred until NEXT week (beginning 24th Feb) due to my unexpected testing POSITIVE to COVID. Rest assured I will ensure I am testing NEGATIVE before resuming Massages.

I take the health and welfare of my Clients and their pets VERY seriously so will keep everyone posted. Keep well. ♥️🐾

This mob do amazing work!

See how the remaining front limb attempts to centre itself causing more strain on the limb's joints, muscles etc and the shoulder and neck ?
That's where Remedial Massage can be really beneficial....loosening and conditioning the muscles, increasing blood circulation and strength, soothing sore areas while the dog learns to 'trust' the artificial limb....(which won't take long!)

Valentines Day must have come early cause 😍💖

Darling KASPA is making real progress with his WEEKLY Remedial Massage! He's more mobile, more flexible and sleeping better. His Mum says he usually poops after every massage...so it really 'moooves' him. ♥️💩
