Very proud coach today! Jane Toohey had her first start out with her sensational young horse and bought home the bacon in the 4 year old at Boneo and my fabulous Aunty Heather equaled her PB in the Grand Prix!!! Well done ladies!!! What a great start to being back out and about from a gruelling lockdown. And thank you to Boneo Park for yet another fab comp 😍

I couldn’t be prouder of my two ponies this weekend at the Boneo Park August comp generously sponsored by Hi Form. Harmonie posted fantastic scores, with nearly 73% in the Prix St George yesterday and starting in the Intermediate 1 yesterday and today scoring 71.2% & 71.9% respectively. She was the winner in each of her classes with a 5% lead each time! I also debuted Tobinski in Medium, who due to being so busy with clients at shows over the last two years, hadn’t competed since 2017. He was a total star, trying so hard. A few wobbly green moments to be forgiven, but plenty of 8’s and 8.5’s. I’m so excited for his future. He posted two high 60 scores and placed third and second yesterday amongst some amazing horses. He was a bit tired today, but it’s a big job being a show pony!!! He still got a ribbon 🙈
Massive shout out to the team of support - especially Jackie holding the fort at home and Sheree at the comp. I must also thank owners Mary and Rob Hanna and of course my darling partner Nick. Robert Schmerglett thank you for you commitment and patience with me. So a rather badly kept secret to tell! I have recently moved from the beautiful Sunbury Lodge Equestrian Centre. What a fantastic year it was in this amazing facility. The hugest thank you to Ross and Anne Smith for being the most utterly delightful hosts. This property is on the market and having lived and breathed it for the past twelve months, let me tell you if you are in the market, go check it out!

So now what you wonder...

I have down sized the horses in training so that I may concentrate on my own horses and my para equestrian, Tilda Carnegie for her Tokyo campaign. We are now based back at Ellanbrae Park in Macedon. I’ve also taken a position riding some of the super young stock coming through this stable. Today was my first official day doing this, and let me just say WOW!!! Carolyn, Charlie, David and her team at Ellanbrae have produced some of the most well bred, quality young horses I’ve come across in this country. Today I had the pleasure of riding the most beautiful young horses, well educated, supremely handled and looked after. Their breeding program in conjunction with their management and riding, well like I said WOW. I’m so lucky to have this opportunity to work with these horses. If you are in the market for imported lines, this should be you first stop. I was based at Ellanbrae a few years ago, when the program was in its infancy, but now the vision is coming together and I am excited. Watch this space people!!!!
