TICK SEASON!!
Hi all, as a veterinary nurse I thought it would be great to share some tips, tricks and advice!

First advice is to alert you that coming into summer means Ticks will be on the rise. There are many preventions out on the market. Please call your locate vet clinic for product information and to check your fur baby is on prevention.

Ticks can be fatal to your furry loved one, paralysis ticks once attached will put a toxin into the blood stream that then will affect the entire body. Starting with fatigue and wobbly walking, labour breathing and then result in complete collapse.
If you experience any of these symptoms please call your vet immediately.

Some pets don’t enjoy staying at kennels or leaving the comfort of there home, we take that worry out of the picture for both you and your pet. Our pet sitters ensure your pet is fed and cared for like you’ve never left. We cater for all pets and there basic needs and more such as medication , play time and a cuddle.

WE ALSO CARE FOR LARGE PETS TOO !!!!

Hi I’m Luke , the second half of Urban Tails Pet Sitting Mackay.The past few weeks myself and Katie have had the pleasure of caring for some BIG pets !! Meet Rosie a locally trained race horse and Cookies a abandoned calf only 2 weeks old. Both animals are on quiet a strict and time consuming routine , from race feeds and stable care too hand bottle feeding. Urban Tails can care for all animals shapes and sizes.

This week I had the pleasure of looking after two gorgeous doggies again Bob and Cleo.
Bob is a handsome German Shepard who loves to greet me with hugs and kisses, always makes my day. Then Miss Cleo, the cheekiest and cutest Poodle who is always up for play with her ball.
Can’t wait to see them both soon. 😍

The Face Behind it all!! 😁

Hi everybody! My name is Katie and I am the owner of Urban Tails Pet Sitting Mackay. My goal is to make pet care personal, and to make sure that you know your pets are in the best hands at all times. I’ve been a vet nurse now for the past 9 years and have loved working with animals of all sizes.
Pet sitting came into my life four years ago and since then have grown a passion for being your pets friendly face while your away.
I have two fur babies myself, Zeke is a Rottweiler cross who just loves everyone and dachshunds, then there is Zues our handsome silver cat who is happy with a scratch when it suits him.
I am a local Mackay girl and have lived here for 20 years now and plan on staying here for many more years.
Outside of work hours I love to play sport of any kind, I particularly enjoy playing Rugby League and Touch Football. So in my spare time you will usually find me down at the fields training or playing.

There is just a little bit of who I am and why I have started Urban Tails Pet Sitting. I cannot wait to meet you and your fur babies soon.
