New Lepto Vaccine Is Finally Here!!

Leptospirosis is an infectious bacterial disease that can cause serious health problems in dogs including fever, loss of appetite, lethargy, vomiting, diarrhoea and even kidney and liver failure which can be fatal. Humans can also become infected with leptospirosis.
Leptospirosis is spread through direct and indirect contact with the urine of infected rodents and wildlife. This means that almost all dogs of all lifestyles can be at risk.
Leptospirosis vaccine is the best way to protect your dog.

Beautiful Finn was recently hospitalized to receive anti-venom after being bitten by a venomous snake 🐍

He arrived at the clinic as an emergency with incredibly worried owners that weren’t sure what was wrong with him. After a blood test revealed that he had been bitten by a venomous snake, we were able to begin life saving treatment of intravenous anti-venom and fluid therapy.

After about 48 hours of fluid therapy in hospital he was feeling much better and so happy to go for a walk and have cuddles with our nurses!
We were so happy to see him go home with his mum after a very traumatic ordeal 🤍🐾

I shall be joining Better Pet Vets in October 2024 coming from the United Kingdom. I can't wait to meet you all!
My name is Christopher and I graduated from The University Of Nottingham Veterinary School in July 2022 and have since worked in a small animal practice in Reading, England.

I grew up watching David Attenborough which ignited my passion for exotic animals. I can't wait to land in Australia to start working with the amazing native wildlife, exotic pets and small animals. I am excited to explore Mackay and all that it has to offer and make lifelong friends on the way. I am a keen magician so if you ask I would love to show you some card trick.
