It’s with great sadness that I’ve had to come to this decision and it wasn’t an easy decision to make but due to bad mouthing and people getting their facts wrong through a couple of posts on my private page and not having the decency to actually message me and ask before causing drama that didn’t need to be caused. I am now NOT going to be doing lessons anymore. We are also extremely busy with training horses/work and family to have people trying to bring us down.
I will be concentrating on training horses and our own personal equestrian dreams. I’m sorry to my clients kids that love to come here every week and get their weekly ‘heels down’ ‘forward’ ‘excellent’ ‘that’s what I want’ ‘reach for your dreams’ ‘have a go your ready’ ‘if we don’t succeed we will try and try again’ etc shouting at and the FUN that we have!

Good luck kids! I’ll still be at comps and I’ll still be cheering you on!

Reach for the stars but most importantly have FUN (which has always been my quote)

See you all out and about
❤️ Mindy, Dominic and all our beloved horses

Another great way to end the year on a high.

Headed to Gladstone for the Gladstone Calliope Equestrian Group/CQ Dressage awards night with my trusty side kick Suzie! Had a great night with some great old and new friends.

JT and I came home with ‘Best Preformed Thoroughbred’ and ‘Best Preformed Senior Show Jumping’ in the OTT sections.

Again I would like to thank Gladstone calliope equestrian group for running these events. The committee does a bloody great job putting everything together and running smooth events.

Also thank you to Queensland Off The Track for their sponsorship of these classes throughout the year.

Have a great summer break everyone and see you all again next year.

Well the year didn’t start that great for JT and I with the biggest stack of my life which I know scared a lot of people that watched on in horror as I was dragged as elegantly as possible 80m around the arena by my most bestest mate. But moving on 5 months and a lot of heartache and trying times to get our partnership back together we ended the year on a high.

JT and I took out the Rockhampton Equestrian Group off the track highest points overall senior devision.

I know that Dominic and myself plus a few friends have throughly enjoyed driving to Rocky for these comps this year and we will definitely be back next year with hopefully a few more horses and a few more mates.

Queensland Off The Track thank you for your generosity and sponsorship for all the OTT classes throughout the year not just in show jumping but throughout a wide range of equestrian sports.
Thank you also to REGI for all your hard work at dedication to putting together these great competitions throughout the year. Who knows next year JT and I might also grace the dressage ring again.

Well that’s a rap for the travelling year for us! The last two weekends have been busy that’s for sure. Ingham for the tropical north show jumping champs and then finishing off with Mt larcom.

Ingham saw myself and Dominic competing and having a blast.
Dominic and fairy doing the junior 60cm and the open 60cm over the weekend for placings in all classes. They also did their first top score and jumped 80cm. Dominic and fairy also took out best presented horse and rider for the weekend.
JT and I dropped down classes again just for some more confidence building. Come home with some placings in the 1.05m and the 1.10 plus also 4th overall for the frosty mango series! Pulled, bucked and pigrooted his way around all courses made me see the old JT back!

Mt Larcom I took three horses JT, Chester and Henry.
Henry was having a la la moment on Saturday and his head wasn’t in the game (but hey that’s young horses for you) but came out Sunday and was back to the normal Henry placing 3rd.
Chester! Well he is the best little bush pony!! This horse amazes me everytime he steps out! Placed in all his classes both 70cm and 80cm to come home with 70cm champion and winning his first rug!!! He also did the lower 6 bar feature ending up 3rd over all jumping his first ever 1.05m jump! On track for Dominic for next year’s competitions.
JT was back to being bestest boy ever. After the year we have had with a huge fall and loosing confidence in each other I was so happy to have found our groove again. Back to being at one. Jumped super well all weekend in the 1.10m and 1.20m classes. The best was the last round in the accumulator and jumping the 1.30 triple bar (and it definitely was as we measured it after). We also thought what the heck amd put him in the higher 6 bar just for some fun for the last comp (everyone knows I don’t do features on him and especially not 6 bars!) well he came home with the win and a rug! We also won champion senior rider OTT and reserve champion 1.10 and 1.20 horse. It’s been a hard year and a serious learning curve for JT and I this year but I’m hopeful for next year now after finishing on the best note possible!

Thank you everyone for your support throughout the year. John and Jan Mansfield thank you for everything we are so lucky to have your knowledge and help behind us we love you.
Kim Smith for helping keep JT feeling groovy
Linda and Trevor Hamilton for JTs chiro (it must of been that little tweak on Saturday that got him right!)
Dr Dave and Tyla for our vet needs and advice. I seriously couldn’t do this with out you support and letting me have time off work to go to comps.
Suzie number one strapper your support and help is so greatly appreciated. Thank you.
And anyone else I have missed please thank you and I’m sorry if I missed you off the list. Also to all the competitors this year well done and see you all next season if we don’t see you before.

Ps sorry only a couple of photos. When I get more I’ll post them.

Sooooo I haven’t really wrote much about th w last couple of shows we have attended. JT and I haven’t had much luck. The bestest little bush pony ‘Chester’ has been going great guns with both Dominic riding him and also with myself.

Sometimes as riders we really need to stop and think what’s going on? Why is it not working/going to plan? And how can we fix it? The last few months have definitely been trying. After our accident I though I had JTs confidence back and things were going along well but then we had a terrible run at NQEG champs where my world start to crumble! Have a really messed up my horse?
Step forward two weeks to Tropical North Show Jumping comp and even though my pride was a bit shot I decided with the help and words of wisdom from the few people I completely trust that I would drop JT back down to 1.05m (for the first class) and see how he goes! If it’s good then we can keep on track for the rest of the weekend! Well the springy, pig rooting, let me at em attitude was back and he was full zoned in! Rider error in the 1.05m to take out 5th but then came back in the arv for the 1.15m to take the win! On Sunday it was better again. The only double clear in the 1.10 Grand Prix for the win and then clear first round in the 1.15m with a rush of bloody in the second round for one rail saw us take out 3rd! We have three more comps till the end of the season so here’s hoping we can finish the year on a good note!

Chester the pony from the bush always exceeds my expectations! Can turn, can angle!! Chester came home with placings in the 60cm and the 80cm classes over the weekend. Next comp Dominic will be back in the saddle on Chester. Plus with Dominics special coaching from John (cause what kid listens to their mum right) this pair could definitely be on a great journey together!

On the weekend I few of us headed to the Gladstone Calliope Equestrian Group/CQ Dressage show jumping and dressage weekend. Everyone had many wins and placings.

Dominic rode Chester for the very first time in a comp (probably the 4th he has ever ridden him) and i am super dooper proud of my boy and our (Jan Mansfield) 4year old stock horse. What a bloody legend Chester is. Dominic and Chester did the 40cm and 50cm classes coming home with two 3rds, a 4th and a 5th. Just a little slow. Dominic not to keen on the ‘big horse’ canter just yet.

JT is jumping super with a couple of rider flops coming home with two 2nds and two 1st plus senior rider OTT champion.

Well the English kids and the three Heath girls all riding exceptionally well all weekend all coming home with wins and placings. Shannon English receiving the encouragement award on Saturday!

Suzie and Black Betty had a great weekend in the dressage coming home with reserve champion Prep horse and rider. The biggest and best achievement for these two to date.

Thanks to GCEG plus Cassie Ward and Rochelle for a well run weekend we all had a blast. Great rider courses built by Don Sullivan. Thanks to Queensland Off The Track for the sponsorship. We as riders really appreciate all that QOTT do for the OTTs.

Suzie Stoodley Alison English Stacey-Justin Heath and all the kids.

This weekend we didn’t have to travel to far just a quick trip down the road to Sarina for Sarina Western Performance and Equestrian Club Inc Group 1 ‘Touch of Class’ show.

Show of Strength (biggles)
Was all strength this weekend!
Saturday: champion OTT
Champion OTT rider

Sunday: champion hack
Champion rider
Supreme champion hack of the show
supreme champion rider of the show

Anaiah had her first ever show and rode Fairy
She took out 1st place in beginner horse/rider then champion beginner horse/rider. Anaiah also won her unassisted beginner rider class!

Then we have the ever so competitive Hills girls, Payton and Gracie ride beautiful all weekend and won so many ribbons I can’t keep up but the highlight was Payton winning supreme champion hunter hack of the show on the ever so faithful Ozzy (Payton you are really starting to get your groove) and also Gracie in for supreme champion rider of the show and doing an absolutely beautiful work out picking up her correct diagonals and canter leads.

Suzie also rode her trusty stead Black Betty with a few placings and and accidentally fall but Suzie got back up got back on and tried again. Well done Suzie. And sorry I don’t have any photos of you

Thank you Danielle Murray for an amazing show you pulled it off once again. And for all the sponsor for the beautiful garlands

REGI weekend

Dominic and Fairy had the best weekend
Seriously someone needs to buy this pony she is the bomb!!
Coming home with two 1st and one 2nd overall (three 1st overall junior!) in the 50cm and 60cm classes. Rider error in the last 60cm saw them out of the placing unfortunately

As riders the worst thing we can do is take our four legged best friends for granted! But the greatest thing we can do is admit our mistakes accept we made them and move forward! 5 weeks ago my bestest boy and I had a terrible fall at 1.10m. There as been a million thoughts go through my mind as to why? What went wrong? How did this happen? Tears cause I hurt my bestest boy! How could I have done this to him? But yes I took hom for granted and should of been more on point with him instead of thinking ‘he’ll be right! He is bestest boy! He looks after me!’ But………. This weekend we headed to REGI hoping to regain our bond and……. We did!!! JT jumped so amazing and the best he has in a long time. He was on point! He was happy to be out jumping 1.10 and 1.20m again. Saturday only a rider error just dropped him early and knocked a rail in both rounds but came out Sunday and jumped the house down with clear rounds all round. Taking out OTT champion for both 1.10m and 1.20m.
Thank you to Rockhampton Equestrian Group for another fabulous weekend.
Thanks to OTT Queensland for sponsoring classes (I couldn’t tag for some reason. So anyone that can please tag them for me)
Thanks to all my supporters
Hamilton Equine Realignment
Grandma Jan and John
All my friends and clients

Photos will come soon

Soooooo WEG show jumping weekend did not go as planned!

JT and I had the worst weekend we have ever had and both feeling pretty sore and sorry for ourselves. We crashed and burned pretty hard. Was definitely rider error and I will definitely not trying to do that again. We hit the ground hard then as JT got up my foot got caught in the stirrup and yep I got dragged. Hospital trip to get checked out but came back all good just very sore, stiff and sorry for myself. JT isn’t in the best shape either. So we are the walking wounded atm!!

Chester definitely exceeds expectations everytime he goes out. Jumping round the 70 and 60cm jumps with ease. Even getting some tight pony turns in which definitely blew me away. He is definitely going to be handy as the season progresses.

June is going to be a big month with comps coming out our ears so lessons may be missed as we will be away a lot.
